What Would Tempt You Away From Riding - If Anything ?
Discussion
I am considering moving countries, and whilst I won't give up riding (loads of mates have offered to look after my bikes in the UK), I doubt I would buy a bike if I move due to roads laws (such as no filtering) and the standard of driving makes it too much risk for not enough (fun) return.
I think no car could tempt me from my bike. I feel quite honoured that friends have let me drive their Ferrari 360, TVR Tamora, and Audi S4, on occasion, most notably to Le Mans, and for a few thousand miles through the Alps, and around Skye and Applecross. I drove the cars respectfully but didn't hold back much.
In every instance for the best bits of road I'd sooner of been on my stty old Honda, even though I'm a lot less capable rider than driver. The only times I liked the car was when I wanted somewhere warm to sit, or to put my tent.
Sadly since I got my bike licence cars have had the volume turned down. I still like fast cars, but I currently find myself shopping for a diesel estate because I don't give a st anymore.

Have a Westfield, love it on the track but Sunday morning drives became to much of a chore stuck behind other motorists with suicidal overtakes required to find some open road. So took my bike test and have a Triumph Speeed Triple. Love the feeling of the roads opening up again (though I am certainly more careful on the bike and less experienced), with high riding position giving good line of site and damn quick acceleration allowing safer overtakes when necessary.
Scarlet could sway me (though Mrs P may object)and I love skiing, Hobbie cat sailing and mountain biking. But I would rather compromise on all my hobbies (2 weeks away sailing and skiing a year, £1000 mountain bike instead of £4000 one) and continue them all than have a very flash car in which you are still stuck at 25mph behind a Nissan Micra.
