I have been at work all weekend. Sweating, and dealing with liars.

I really need to buy a bike, if I'm not careful, it'll be a year since I passed my DAS, and I'll need retraining!

D I Y duties till 2pm, then off to Rothbury where it was packed.

Saw a lot of people who I hadn't seen since last year. Had some good crack, then my mates turned up who had been to Hawick.

Spirited ride back home for an ice cream from Mr Slaver, then watched racing, oh and Weather was really hot.

Life's good again, I love good weather.

Vincovicium. Or if you prefer, Housesteads Fort on Hadrian's Wall. Some brain-out stuff, lots of bikes about, many of whom didn't seem to know what the throttle is for or how you go about leaning round bends.

Mate of mine spending too long on the wrong side of double-whites, asking for trouble. His argument that 'if I couldn't see, I wouldn't have gone' wouldn't last long if any of the cars he overtook was an unmarked ossifer.

Then off to the pub tonight, couple of shandies, much merriment on the way back as I kept switching the lights off to confuse the others 90 in the dark, worra larf...

I popped over to see a mate in St Neots and ended up staying for one of his Dad's monster BBQs.

I've been using the bike pretty often recently and getting too blase with the performance - the whole world seemed to be running in slow motion over the weekend. I must curb my throttle hand.....

Saturday, sat outside the appt on the stoop with friends drinking beer and watching the tourists go past, Sunday...6 hours work, then 4 hours tooling round the canals in an 8 person electric boat with 7 m8´s drinking beer and having a lovely time....

I should leave the bike at work next time though, it´s covered in sticky beer stains this morning (our street is one of those streets where people like to party on a weekend

I flew back from Bosnia on Saturday night and was pleased to see my R1 sat waiting for me at home - the dealer kindly rode it over for me and took his Gixxer back. So, I went for a nice long blast on Sunday with a friend.

After about 50 miles I was right back in the groove, when suddenly on a tight downhill twisty, the handling all went to hell - wouldn't lean over properly, felt unstable, back end losing traction - so i pulled over to find an inch long slash in the rear tyre, on the left hand side - i'd gone over something sharp at a decent angle of lean. The tyre went down pretty quick, so I got a lift on my mate's bike to buy some puncture seal stuff and limped the bike home. Scary though, was worried it may blow!

If you'd have come over to the control tower at the back of the grid, you could have waved a hello to me on the rooof of the tower That was my camera position for the weekend, a great day for me since 99% of the overtaking happened in my shot

Ah, what a shame. I posted last week to see if anyone was going, but no takers. It was good racing

I went out for a blast around Duffield, Burton, Repton, then ended up at Donington, but didn't know other PH'ers were there. One of my mates just got himself a RSV mille R and wanted to get some miles in. Great weather, good ride out. Next week another mate picks up his new '07 GSXR750, just got to decide a route and where to go
