Each to their own

What sort of motorcyclist are you? Do you enjoy polishing the chrome or do you fancy the speed on a track, or perhaps you like me, who loves when you get dirty
As said each to their own, but to the top of the ten I would put Enduros and Adventure Touring!!!
1 Numeros UNOS
Off-road;
Motocross
Supermotos
Trials motorcycles
Track racing machines
Enduros
Adventure Touring

1 = Motocross - Best sport in the world IMO! Every lap is different to the one previous (unless your name is Stefan), huge amounts of fitness required as well as technical ability and big balls to boot!
2 = Riding my R1 - It's all still pretty new to me (first bike & 5000 miles) but I do enjoy threading my way through the traffic and pressing on when it opens up a bit. I'm still ste at cornering though (corner speed) and in this weather it's starting to feel like more of a necessity TBH (well, it is, it's the only way I can get to work! ). Roll on the summer, the Power Ranger get-up and a revived sense of fun!

My Triple is there for fun. out with mates or on my own enjoying good weather and nice areas with great roads and fantastic views. getting away from normal life and enjoying my time on the bike.
Motocross to watch/TV (not ride) i similer to me like football and rugby. Ok it I catch it on TV, but would rather watch something else. I can't comment doing MC as I have never tryed.

As my bike is a primarily a means of transport (my choice rather than a necessity) then practicality and comfort are high on my list of requirements but I would describe myself as a practical ‘everyday’ biker who enjoys sport/touring.
Favourite engine configuration – big V twin
Favourite bike type – sports tourer
Favourite biking activity – travelling and enjoying new and challenging roads either on my on or in a group.

I like cleaning mine then going out on it.
Get a real buzz of seeing it clean.
same here, if you spend 1k or 10k on a bike I like to look after it. and see it look cleanGet a real buzz of seeing it clean.
But I clean my bike once I get home. so it's left in the garage in clean

What about the hard core bikers who use their steeds for daily commuting.
My bike isn't a toy - it's a necessary means of transport
Quicker than taking the car right? Sounds alright, since I dont really consider my bike a toy either. It´s just something you cant really reasonably explain. My bike isn't a toy - it's a necessary means of transport

Yes me - daily commuting! Though my bike does get used for fun during the warmer weather.. its just commuting only during the winter months. My blackbird is that dirty at the moment I think I'm gonna get a pull for my numberplate being almost unreadable LOL - I might and I say might clean it at the weekend if we have above zero temps here in London. I can see a trip to the jet wash coming on to get the worst of it off.My bike isn't a toy - it's a necessary means of transport
Favourite - old bikes. Older the better! Find the really early stuff really interesting from an engineering point of view (and seeing how little of what's new is actually new )
Offroad - used to ride quite a bit of pre-65 trials. Ended up with a leg in plaster for 10 weeks, so clearly I wasn't very good at it!
Trackdays - I'm not as quick as I want to be so I get frustrated! Prefer 4 wheels on track.
Generally love anything with 2 wheels though. Started riding when I was 4 and have never been without a bike since. Will happily waste hours and hours arguing with mates about bikes down the pub when not riding!
