Oh definitely! Like I say I'm a huge fan. He entered the top class when I was first getting into biking. Have loved his duels with all of his rivals over the years Biaggi, Gibernau, Haydon, Stoner, etc, etc. and it is awesome when you hear the whole circuit cheer. I've never been to a football match but can now understand why people say the experience is great. I just don't want the football style yobbish-ness crossing over. Although as any racer or event gets big (Le mans is a great example), you get some knobs joining the party.
One of the main reasons we went is that I've always told my bro we'd have to see Rossi race live while he still was. We've done that and he won too, so we are happy chaps.
I don't think the mob mentality is really in gp, marquez crashed in front of the rossi stand but everyone still cheers him once its clear he's not injured. One of the main reasons we went is that I've always told my bro we'd have to see Rossi race live while he still was. You have to admit though. No other motor racing in the world can you hear a cheer from the crowd on the tele, when rossi goes into first.
Except when Jason plato gets punted off mind you.
Mansell when he overtook Piquet in the British F1GP back when F1 was good. That was unbelievably loud and I'd never heard it before. Except when Jason plato gets punted off mind you.

I thought so too but I'm pretty sure that's what the commentators said.
The rules on bike changes have changed...http://www.fim-live.com/en/sport/regulations-and-d...
Crutchlow was indeed on wet tyres but with a dry setup which is why he crashed again. See subsection 17 of section 1.18. When a rider changes bikes during a wet race, there are no restrictions on the type of tyres that my be used anymore. In the past, if you came in on rain tyres and changed bikes, the new bike had to be on slicks. This meant you would change bikes only because of changing track conditions. But now that there are no tyre restrictions, you may change bikes for any reason you like, including "I've been punted off my 1st bike and want my 2nd one", it just not very worthwhile doing given the time lost by swapping.
Note that this is possible only in wet races.
Didn't go myself, my girlfriend and her best friend did and they came back with some interesting conclusions.
The racing is brilliant but not enough of it. There is less happening on track, track action starts later and finishes earlier with less to do off track than at F1. (I checked this F1 ~8:30-6:00 and MotoGP ~9:15-4:00)
Adam Ant was garbage, his warmup act even worse
After the podium everyone, just leaves there is no real after party. Not sure whether this is because it was wet but they expected a big after part on Sunday especially with it being a bank holiday on Monday.
Their conclusions, its good and they want to go again but they reckon despite the much higher prices F1 is a better weekend.

There was 5 races on Sunday, and warm up, what more does she want? Ha. The racing went on until 5:30 on Sunday too. The racing is brilliant but not enough of it. Very good day out for me and my friend, we loved every second!
I'm sure they would have no issues if there just there for the day. Everyone else I know who went also managed to bump into the riders in the paddock for pictures, you have practically no chance of that in F1!!
It's probably quite unfair to compare the 2 events directly, massively different weather, hugely different budgets, and F1 has a Brit at the front to draw people in.

You didn't go. But your girlfriend did. With her best friend. Is her best friend a bloke? Just asking. The racing is brilliant but not enough of it. I'm quite sure both are women! Her best friend broke up with her bloke hence the spare ticket, maybe its because she revealed she's post op and bisexual but I think I'm safe

Impossible to tell who would have won if Miller hadn't knocked off Crutchlow !

I would be interested though to see whether this was more a case of the rider in front slowing, or the rider behind catching. Haven't seen the timing sheets so cant comment.

http://resources.motogp.com/files/results/2015/GBR...Semantics maybe but an important distinction when trying to establish which rider was controlling the gap. In this case, it was the rider in front.

Was Rossi looking after his tyres ?
Or controlling the gap ?
Or was that as fast as he could go ?
The point is, you can't KNOW if Crutchlow could have stayed with (or passed) Rossi.
You have an opinion on the subject, that is all !
This is true. Its merely an opinion. Formed from all the previous motogp results where both those riders took part. Or controlling the gap ?
