Thanks all. The copper has been really great in all this. Things may have moved slowly but he's always kept me updated and expressed real empathy - possibly because he's a biker, too. I know frontline plod sometimes get a hard time on here but in this instance they've done well.

That’s always good to hear (the counter argument is that he’s just done what we’d expect and provided the correct level of “service”). I’ve always really appreciated it when I’ve got positive feedback from members of the public, so it would be nice of you to go onto the force’s website and say thank you - it doesn’t have to be War and Peace, in fact, you could copy and paste what you’ve written here!
