Thread updated with yesterdays confirmations by Ducati.
Really only one seat at aprilia left as Nakagami is almost certain to be at LCR again and Bastianini has apparently signed for Avintia but hasn't been confirmed yet.

https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/950531/1/confirm...

He's heavily rumoured to be joining the Alpine F1 team (Renault). Livio Suppo rumoured to be his replacement at Suzuki.

Umm.... didn't see that coming!

....said Suzuki

I might actually be persuaded to watch F1 next year with Lando having Danny Ric as teammate in a revitalised Mclaren, Alonso and now Brivio going to a rebranded Renault, Williams with new owners & funding, it's almost like "The Garagistas Strike Back!" (yes I know Alpine is a factory team but it was Toleman ffs!). Quite sure I'll be moaning within 5 mins of the start of the first race and snoozing within 20 mins but you know, it's F1, it's about the strategy....

Anyway bit gutting for the whole Suzuki team and I would expect it will have some kind of impact on their performance next year, significant pair of boots to fill.

Given MotoGP is about the racing I can only hope he works out how to overtake in the pits

Brno and Thailand both off the 2021 MotoGP calendar.

Brno not holding any top championship races at all this year due to cost of resurfacing required and Thailand postponing till 2022.

I fear that is the last we will see of Brno, some politics being played out over who is responsible for the resurfacing bill.....

And no race means zero income......

The advent of the Red Bull Ring next door essentially has killed their attendances as well I think. There are very few Czech companies who could or would underwrite stuff either. Beer isn't the natural companion to bike racing, and unlikely that Skoda would be interested.

When you have a promoter and a different track owner and both thinks the other should pay to resurface the track.

The piece i read said it was a million euros .

Be interesting how quickly Silverstone dump it this year as no way they'll pay that .

Actually with the trilions of debt every government is building due to covid it's going to be interesting if any of them are prepared to pay out to allow sports to happen in there country.

On the plus side it gives Marquez more time to hopefully recover.

Maybe give the others a 2/3 race head start first smile
