Cracking bikes and that looks awesome in white with the belly pan.

strangely enough i lusted after one after borrowing a friends but wanted a bit more oopmh. So i borrowed an sv1000 and i hated it. Probably one of the worst bikes ive ridden yet the 650 i loved.

thumbup

I'd move that rear lock so the padlock can't touch the floor. The easiest way to break them is put the padlock on the floor & tt it with a hammer.

Cool. Not just me then. Love the 650 and hate the 1000. People think you're daft when you say that - it's bigger and faster therefore must be better, errr no.

Sv650 is a real sweet spot, just the right amount of power for the frame, delivered and shut off just right. Cracking.

Thanks for all the comments everyone! It's been a great bike for me so far, easy to ride and not exactly slow, quick enough for me for now anyway.

Haven't had any disc lock accidents yet! Got one of those reminder cords for when I'm out just in case!

Hooli - the bike is in my back garden and the access is blocked by our cars so should hopefully be ok, but thanks for the advice, I'll make sure it's clear of the floor in future.

I bought this about two years ago, I fancied a little traillie and wanted to have a go at restoring something. I dismantled it and haven't done anything with it since, if I post a picture here it might shame me into action. Sorry about the crappy iPod pictures, they don't show the extent of the rust and cow-st encrustation.

Sounsd secure enough then smile I use the other security plan, I keep my bike filthy & park it near shiney ones that'll get nicked first hehe

my mate had one when i had a zx6r and despite the power difference the zx6 was only a faster bike when your on a proper bit of road, when you keep them cooking up in the 10K plus. I know thats where the power is and where they should be ridden but often on ride outs when i was just cruising a long hed catch me out and pull away. Id have to drop a couple gears and really wind on to catch him in a straight line. Cracking bike bud.

Cut and repainted my 'fender' this week, turned out surprisingly well considering how cack handed I can be:
