You been doing the Ramsey sprint?
No that's tomorrow and Tuesday but I'll be getting the 'ol ACU licence out and giving it a go (saves you a fiver if you got one haha). Got a couple mates competing this year so I'll park up with them. Think they ran something like a low 6 last year on the 1/8th mile FourWheelDrift said:

Good post, can be hard to find out results when out here. That Norton sounds AMAZING! Love hearing the vee four wormus said:
There's some 'special' riding alright! Mostly seems to be by people overtaking busses. Weather forecast is st for the rest of the week which will slow people down. To be fair it's always the same during TT when the sun's out. People just seem to ride like aresholes.
Really hope it doesn't... I need to sun out so I can wear my poncho cmaguire said:
Have you come out to your friends yet?
Do it soon or the chance will pass.

I just said to the guys here that and they all just said I'm a f*ckin idiot. I'm literally the only one that goes on forums... I really shouldn't when drunk

Ah Sure shots diner in Ramsey? Sun always shines up north so you might be ok.
You know the place! It was packed as everyone got a 'senior' or 'lightweight' before the sprint started I only managed to get two videos going down there. First thing I'm buying when back is a gopro handlebar mount - I just can't get a video without huge shake anywhere else

The interview with Guy Martin on the ITV4 programme this evening was pretty intense, he was visibly badly shaken by his crash.
Given what he's written in his books about his love (or lack thereof) for road racing, one can't help but wonder if he's still got it in him to get back on the bike and be competitive.
You couldn't blame him at all if this was the case.
Pretty intense was definitely a way of putting it! That proper spooked him (and watching the video back he's so lucky to be walking away from that). There are serious issues with the 'box on that Honda right now Given what he's written in his books about his love (or lack thereof) for road racing, one can't help but wonder if he's still got it in him to get back on the bike and be competitive.
You couldn't blame him at all if this was the case.

Yesterday's crash.
I hadn't heard. will look up the footage. I don't blame him. You got yourself 100% committed round the corners and the bikes getting false neutrals

Looking at the weather forecast I can't see the superstock race getting away on time today, if at all to be honest.
I think the howling wind, sideways rain and resultant destroyed tents at our campsite is a pretty strong indication that there will be no running today. Highest point of IOM with I reckon 60-80mph winds... But we took a shameless selfie for the memories
Winds are still strong, a tree came down literally 50ft in front of us and we had to wait for police to get a recovery lorry to remove it... Which they did very quick!
Mountain closed most of the day. Both times opened with high winds warning swiftly followed by an ambulance and closed again

Did the Ramsey Sprints happen today? Weather did seem to perk up later in the afternoon.
Seb and I decided to head up to Port Erin for a look around - if we thought our campsite was windy then that place was on another level. Very quaint though.
Yes Ramsey sprint ran but I only watched for a bit. Mountain opened around 7pmSeb and I decided to head up to Port Erin for a look around - if we thought our campsite was windy then that place was on another level. Very quaint though.
We realised it was the first half closed but second half was open so went there about half hour earlier. Honestly it wasn't much fun. Seriously strong winds and still alot of wet patches but we enjoyed ourselves none the less
After the guys did the half mountain section they went back to the b&b but I did another lap and followed a guy on a gsx1400...if you are on here honestly that was so funny to watch
Old work boots, wax belstaff jacket, scrambler helmet and goggles having a great time
I'll edit this later and put a link up. I won't make it public on YouTube but the link will show you the video and it was funny
Right time for a curry... Might see if I can get a ticket and leave Thursday as currently tomorrow looks good but Thursday is crap and I leave early Friday morning

Good luck with that! Have you seen the queue of people at the ferry terminal who were meant to be on the sailings cancelled today who they are no unable to fit on the other sailings out this week as they are all (obviously) full.
There are appeals for locals to put them up in our houses because they don't have accommodation.
Well I'll check tomorrow in the day. One of my lot was due to leave Wednesday and got it extended to Thursday for £4There are appeals for locals to put them up in our houses because they don't have accommodation.

Sad indeed.
I have a debate going on with a family member and they are of the opinion it should be banned as it's a waste of life. I disagree but sympathise of course but they, and their family know the risks.
What say PH?
I say bks. Racers know the risks. There is something in some of us - normally quite selfishly that seeks that thrill and to be the best I have a debate going on with a family member and they are of the opinion it should be banned as it's a waste of life. I disagree but sympathise of course but they, and their family know the risks.

I think guy Martin once said something like if you think it's too dangerous go cut the lawn and that's spot on
The parents will of course be devastated and if the racer is older the kids are the tough one to sort out as that must be terrible
But...it's what some people live for and what the rest love to watch and be part of
Well...trying to be upbeat given the recent accidents, deaths, weather. Today I think will be the last day of reasonably good weather
Although I'm here tomorrow I think I'll be by the coast getting drunk as it's meant to be rain all day. It's been good fun - not as good as last year for me but still an amazing experience
I went with a great group of mates from 28 to 59 and laughed every day
We finished today eating the biggest scones I've ever seen which we made a rule all must be eaten and see one 6ft 4 17St mate gag (I won't get pics of them as they don't like forums)
I see some great views all over the island and although I'm not one for artistic pictures, for me are still great memories
Being feet away from the bikes pushing like they did was amazing. The twins are sooo loud and still quick! The senior class was my favourite and I still think the Norton were the best (possibly a touch of British pride)
We found a random blow up man doll thing which my mates stuck on my door while I was asleep and scared the crap out of me
I only managed 3 laps of the mountain and two were damp or wet. It was closed every time I went due to crashes then remained that way until the races but on a plus I finally this morning found a better place for the camera
https://youtu.be/BWIvuQ3J2jE
I managed a sub 7 second 1/8th mile which i was pleased with given the bikes standard. The drag bikes are ALL 6.00 to 6.49 but the other quickest road bike did a 7.02 (CBR1000RR)
And I did the tram from the very bottom to the very top and learnt after annoying the conductor that they were circa 1892-1895 running alot of the same frame and some of the original woodwork (boring I know but I like that sort of thing)
Ohh... And after nearly a thousand miles, a tyre change and far too many 3 digit rides I managed to fall out my van and near on break my ankle. Just my luck as it's so swollen I can't get my boot zipped up!
That's me done. If anyone else is out here and wants to share their week good or bad fire away. I shall watch the rest of the race updates on TV with a foot up in ice
