I think with PJD winning the bike build off for the second time, will mean they're due their own show as Jesse, and Fast n Loud still have shows.

As a tip, to convince the other half if necessary, suggest going to the Woodbury Commons Outlet Mall, it's an hours drive north of Manhattan. OCC just happens to be a further 20 mins up the road in Newburgh, coincidentally... hehe
if Chris OH is like mine, she would love to go just as much as I would. So no convincing needed my end
yes Oh yes, she's as big a Petrolhead as I am.
Other than horsey stuff she's not really into "Shopping" biggrin

Orange County Choppers no longer owns its nearly 100,000-square-foot glass-and-steel headquarters on Crossroads Court after turning the deed over to a lender.

One of Paul Teutul Sr.'s companies, Orange County Choppers Realty, handed over the property deed to GE Commercial Finance Business Property Corp., in late December. The same day, GE leased the property back to Teutul for a seven-year term ending Dec. 31, 2018, with an option to extend for another three years.

The transaction prevented Choppers from losing the building to foreclosure. GE began the foreclosure process in 2010, after the business missed mortgage payments. Choppers had two mortgages with GE, one for $11 million and another for $1.5 million.

The "consideration" GE provided in return for the deed was $17.2 million, according to papers filed with Orange County in February. The figure may include forgiven mortgage principal, interest and penalties.

Richard Mahon, a lawyer for Orange County Choppers, declined to comment, citing attorney-client privilege.

Specific details of the lease — including monthly payments — will not be disclosed, said GE spokeswoman Nancy Nyikes.

The Orange County Industrial Development Agency had provided a 10-year payment in lieu of taxes agreement for the building, which opened in April 2008. The PILOT was reinstated after the transfer, said Philip Crotty, the agency's attorney.

The IDA was listed as a defendant in GE's foreclosure action against the Choppers.

"It's all put to rest," Crotty said.
Thanks for the info never knew the specifics at least he had the sense to deal with the lenders rather than risk losing everything
Thanks for info - so the building was owned by another OCC company, that went belly up leaving building ownership with GE Finance. They then lease it back to OCC bike builders as they'd have naff all chance of selling or re-leasing and have an existing customer in house. I'd imagine they are getting quite favourable leasing terms too, but would imagine as the US property market picks up GE finance will look to sell it on in 2018.

Quite nicely done - all they've really done is lost ownership of the building they work in.

I've not seen any of these build offs - will check the torrents.

For all Jesse James' faults, he has shagged Sandra Bullock and Kat von D which is pretty awesome.

Having met/worked with him recently, albeit briefly, I formed the impression that he was a fairly decent bloke. A bit of an extrovert, granted, but the kind of chap who'll go wading in to help a competitor/fellow motorsport participant who's attempting some repairs between races (saw him do it too).

Is it his on-screen persona that everyone doesn't like, perhaps which, like most TV shows, Topgear included, is simply a character created as part of the TV programme.

you can't say you have met/worked with him without more info needed.

Agreed the on screen persona is never the end all of a person. Much like jnr and Snr, I bet both top chaps in real live.

Shame Mikey left the show last season, I know he did not really do anything but sometimes was nice to have a light hearted moment in the show

I'm heading to New York in June, my first time in North America so I'm really looking forward to it.

Think a trip to a chopper builder may be a little unpopular though hehe

When I say brief, I meant brief.

He was at Goodwood this year. He was wandering around the paddock area at the top of the hill, and disappeared under the bonnet of someone's car that'd broken down up there. He was then chatting with us in our studio before an inpromptu interview.

I realise you can't get a full impression of anyone from less than half an hour in their presence, but he didn't come across as a tt, particularly when the cameras weren't rolling.

Actually, behind the scenes, most people are alright, normal humans if you like, although TV presenters/personalities have the ability to turn on the 'persona' at will, whereas most of us don't. The only person I've ever met who was a bit of a knob was a certain illusionist going by the name of Brown.

ETA: Just remembered another tosser too , and that's excluding the two who were sacked by SKY a while back. However, it's not productive to start naming names, but this particular chap is supposedly 'down to earth', when the reality is he's overawed by his own ego.

Maybe a trip out to The Long Island beaches then which, oh look, happen to be near Billy Joel's 20th Century Motorcycle shop. Great place with lots of old and new bikes including a Vincent, Guzzis, BSAs and other Brit iron. Normally quite a few bikes meet there at the weekends.

I was living/working in NY for the last couple of years, so happy to give any advice I can smile

As a fan of Gas monkey i loved the banter on twitter before, during and after the build off , apparently Jesse's bike was way overdue and had to get an extension twice , the gas monkeys guys however rode their bike the 1100miles to the Vegaqs build off giving them maximum kudos imo

I like PJ as well , his dad is a bit of a knob though kinda ruins the AC shows for me but I also hope that PJD get their own show especially if Rick goes there smile

Snr comes across as a cantankerous old fart but without the work he did Jnr wouldn't even have a job now. I thought it was brave in the first build off to make an electric tracked vehicle. Wasn't a chopper but it was something I'd love to own. I get bored of Jnr's comedy bikes.

I'd have risked bleach poisoning for that! I think it was a Jonathan Ross type interview. hehe
