I only found it because there was nothing worth reading in BB.

So it looks like BTaP has been cancelled!

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Even more impetus for BNaB to a fully inclusive, friendly, cheap and riotous night out smile

Jeez, better get another couple of burgers on the grill then hehe

Not got time to read that lot, what happened? Someone realise they couldn't have that net worth of company directors in one place at one time for national security reasons??

Will start organising this a bit soon. I reckon leave it as a sticky until nearer the time then have it moved to bob about in the general chat nearer the time.

Two weeks to go and they'd only sold 21 tickets. Needed 120 to break even frown

Feel sorry for Garlick as they are absorbing a 4k loss. The thread seems to be a mix of blaming cliques, lack of promotion and people saying it's boring being at the same place every year.

Things to keep in mind once we reach our 10th year biggrin

That's the glory of BNaB. Get pissed and you can't rememeber it - every year's a novelty!

.
hehe

I don't go anymore (been twice) because it's cliquey and I'm an old timer on here.

Mmm... just read through the whole thread. A little bit of bhing, a bit of cliquiness and a whole load of vfm issues by the sound of it

Feel sorry for Garlick and others that were involved in the organising as I know only too well how much energy goes into something like that

Anyway, BNaB will be going forward as suggested, even if only Srob and me attend. However it would be much better if we can get the same number as last year plus some new faces

Just read the first bit of that thread about BTaP - people saying it's a £500 minimum event!!! One woman said she spent £1000 on an outfit, hotel, etc.

Unreal!

I think it's made me ever more determined that BNaB should be/remain an economy event hehe

with no watches worth more than £9.99

Maybe we could get Poundshop to sponsor the event

Events need to evolve to meet the needs of the many or they will suffer.
BNaB is EXACTLY what we want/need, long may it continue.

I'm still not staying in the Cromwell. That is far too much money to sleep off a hangover.

Yeah I'm gonna go more budget this year I think.

Where did you stay last time? Wasn't far as you had the Fleegle guided tour in our taxi on the way home hehe

I've been back to London since then. It was still scary.

I stayed in Fulham (bit dogdy at the moment) Travelodge. http://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/400/London-Fulh...

I'd certainly like to go - not sure if I can commit to it yet though.

Did you take the train to London last year y2blade?

Me no like trains and tubes. London big and scary.

I took the train in and got MissB to pick me up and drive me home late.

I'm looking at booking a travelodge for the sat night, what's the plan hit a few pubs then eat? Which is a good area to look for a travelodge?

We should rent borris bikes and see who can get there elbow down marquez style.

Best value mainstream hotel I can find is the Travelodge Central Bank. The City is a wee bit quiet on a Saturday night, but the hotel is only 2 minutes from Bank tube station which has the Central line. So easy to get back to after the do

Crap. I've got to make a decision. I've had an offer for another night of drinking and singing that weekend. So far this night has more bikers, but the other one has more girls.
