Ace Cafe crash

SMIDSY as an excuse becomes halfway reasonable when the oncoming vehicle's headlight is pointed at the clouds. Crossing a roundabout.
Oh no doubt but it doesnt mean you dont need to bother indicating, in the middle of nowhere with no one else around yeah you'll be alright to do it but Ace Cafe on a friday night on THAT roundabout is asking for trouble. Not excusing the scooter rider in the slightest, he deserved the wack, doubt it'll knock any sense into him though. CaptainMorgan said:

His error was failure to spot the speeding scooter on his back wheel, unable to brake or turn.
If he had been indicating, would the outcome have been any different? No.
5% BMW fault, 95% scootist fault, IMO.

Agreed, BMW looked to be about to execute a donut/180 with dab of oppo around the mini roundabout and was probably concentrating on getting the car set up with a sharp steering input and a bootful of throttle, rather than other stuff like signalling and keeping an eye out for speeding bikers.
Both stupid however and yeah, the majority of the fault has to lie with the biker if we're honest. However I reckon if the BMW driver was just making an ordinary right turn and was paying attention he would've seen the oncoming scooter, stopped on the roundabout in time and it would have been a complete non event.

The BMW is pretty much faultless, the bike rider is a complete idiot. Even if he had of been indicating, that bike was never able to stop in time.
Im sure the bikers insurers will have a great time with that.
So, tell how the accident happened.
"Well bruv, I was pulling a sick wheelie straight across a roundabout at nite wiv a car already on it innit...."
100% car driver not to blame as already on the roundabout. Scooter rider 1000000% tt.Im sure the bikers insurers will have a great time with that.

Yes? Scooters can pop the front up as well, you just can't clutch it up...100% Scooters fault. While the BMW may well have been about to try and perform a doughnut, he was already established on the roundabout and scooter kid should have used his brain cell.

It's a roundabout, not a normal junction. If you're on the roundabout, you have priority. It is up to other traffic to give way to you.
The indicator is a courtesy, but it doesn't change the above.
The scooter entered the roundabout when it wasn't clear to do so.
big shock when on the continent, they don't indicate on roundabouts. once on it's your right of way. The indicator is a courtesy, but it doesn't change the above.

Chances are that BMW had an open rear diff and donuts were just a pipe dream anyway. Scooter riders are a pain in the arse at Ace Cafe and they really spoil the evening and I've stopped attending bike nights due to these idiots on their crappy little scooters, Ace Cafe has sadly become over run by these chavs and it'll end up losing it's license and shutting down as a result.

Indeed, the 'herberts' as Mark Wilsmore calls them are a real pain. The Ace has already had multiple warnings about them and now thanks to the 2014 Anti-social behaviour crime and policing Act, any policeman can close them down on the spot. It's a very real problem Baryonyx said:
As always with the Ace Cafe, I wonder just what is so good about that cafe that attracts so many bikers? I would have thought the last place anyone would want to hang out on a bike was London. But then I suppose it's a long, long way to any decent roads from there.
