They not running it this year? I don't think it even made 2 laps last year
Effort can still be acknowledged and applauded. Perhaps they should have approached PH BB for some cleverer engineers

Is it possible to power a bike using just bullst and false bravado?

Just had a look at the first video and then skimmed the replies, I can only see people using their bikes as they sould be used.

I watched the nurburgring thread video but replied to that on this thread.

Dunno how I've managed to do that! FFS, it must be my age

Cheers Nemesis - it was a good laugh out there and we just went out there and had fun, banged in some good times and went home

I'm booking for about 4-5 of us going next year (2018) for the first time (apart from 1 who has been last year)

I'm going on the bike but should be interesting as I have no way of securing any luggage to the bike. Looks like i'll be living out my backpack for a week eek

Last year there was a group of about 15 guys on our campsite, at the end of the stay they chucked all their gear on a pallet, tents, sleeping bags, clothes, etc, shrink wrapped it, got it collected by a courier with a tail lift and went off on a ride back home...

Can any regular visitors confirm that practise times is just in the evenings as suggested by IOM TT website?

I last went in '91 and was fairly sure they did early morning slots as well.

Just evening sessions now.

Majority of the course usually closes around 6 for a 6.20-6.30 start

The mountain section usually an hour earlier than the rest of the course to facilitate the removal of traffic cones

I've corrected that, often an incident or two just before road closes.

Shame no morning practice, was quite nice to watch at the bottom on Bray Hill on the way home from the pub!

Yes, a shame I loved the early morning practice.

Last year it started Sat evening, (5 ish), nowt on Sunday, then Monday, Tues, Weds etc evenings. 5.30pm (I think) the main roads closed til about 9?
But you are right, there was a proper practice schedule up last year and this year it seems vague.

Once you lot start getting out there for practice/race week try get some pics/videos up

I cant wait...not long now

Just need to decide whether to fit my 2/3rd worn Supercorsa SP's and take the Rosso Corsa Rear spare for mid week change or buy a new M7RR rear and run them. Cant beat the grip of a supercorsa though...as long as its dry!

Just had a look at last year's schedule and it was 6pm for every practice session

Mountain section 4.45pm,don't think it will have altered much as they tend to keep the roads open as late as possible
to allow the commuters to get home

Just found this

Can't argue with that ,there was a fatality near to ballacraine shortly before roads closed for Fri practice

In days gone by it wasn't unknown for people to leave the pub then straight to the pits to get the bikes scrutineered biggrin
