Sometimes I think HLK is a bot he takes things so literally. But just in case here we go. HLK my friend, what is being suggested is a social nicety and an expression of interest in someone else’s activities. Do we need photos? No there’ll be millions. Is it nice to see someone from BB go to an event and engage with us by posting some pics? Yes it’s what makes forums work. I don’t need to see the photos of my friend’s trip to Rome, I’ve been there, I’ve seen the Colosseum, I have my own iffy snaps. If I want pics I could go to the internet, but I am intersted in my friend, what he’s done and appreciate the enjoyment he has got from his visit. And breathe!
Fear not, HLK has as much control of social mores and standards as a bus load of Aspergers-afflicted teenagers who've had a really bad day.Mr Dendrite said:

Were you trying not to hurt my feelings?
It is great that you are interested in your friend, commendable.
Personally, on this forum I do not get social niceties and expressions of interest in my activities, rather I am being called a bot and whatnot and for some reason people like to poke fun at me for my affinity to FireBlade, some weird fetish of theirs. Oh, well, can't deprive the people of their little pleasures if they make their lives a little bit better, can I.
And yes, you should not forget to breathe as you would faint otherwise.
So, cheers!

Do you race an R1 at the moment?, the S1000 RR and ZX10R seem to be the most popular when I’ve gone to watch my friend race.
I always wonder why there are not more R1s as I’ve thought they’re meant to be pretty competitive.
Do BMW and Kawasaki offer better incentives/prices?.
No I race a current S1000RR. There are quite a lot of R1s about in club racing, or at least the ones I do. I don’t like the look or the noise of the R1 so I wouldn’t have one. I always wonder why there are not more R1s as I’ve thought they’re meant to be pretty competitive.

I like being the "famous" 954RR-fanatic, in fact.

It was me that called you the google bot.
Coming from you it almost feels like praise, I almost feel flattered, somehow feels like a righteous infliction of compliment manifested by an appropriate agent, personified in this case by, well, you.Though I am not a bot, I am hundred percent pure, old fashioned, home grown human, born free right here in the real world.

So as part two of my educating HLK in human interaction.
Hold the front page, there is no friend who’s been to Rome! This was the use of a metaphor, possibly even an allegory, using a story to explain moral or ethical issue.
We poke fun, take the piss, show interest when it isn’t vital that we do. Make polite comments asking for photos. These small things are the oil that lubricates human interaction.
When I get to Switzerland next, I will take great pleasure in meeting the real HLK and buying him an over priced Swiss Beer..

banter banter
banter banter ..."free" beer proposition
I was in the Old Blighty (The City to be exact) a month or so ago...interesting to see how suited guys have a pint for lunch and at 6pm some are back in da pub and are already tipsy, in the middle of a week...
Anyway, the brewskies were not cheaper than in Schweiz.
Suggestion: if you are ever in the great city of Budapest, go to the following place, THAT's the place for beer and great food!

Why is it shame?
Is it "the sound" malarkey again or you are upset that BMW IL4 is not as expensive to maintain as Aprilia V4?
Your ignorance never ceases to amaze HLK. If you have nothing constructive to add other than your truths based on interwebs comments maybe remember the ever true axiom of "it's better to close your mouth and be thought a fool than open it and prove them right" Is it "the sound" malarkey again or you are upset that BMW IL4 is not as expensive to maintain as Aprilia V4?
Remember that experience trumps conjecture every time.
