Looks like it’s opening up from 1st July for unrestricted travel so Manx could have run. I’ll be glad to be over there again for summer holidays.
1st June if you are brave enough to risk a test when you get here. If its clear you are good to go, if positive you would have to isolate. Follow up test also on day 7 so if out and about for a week and then test positive you go back into isolation. All clear from 1st July as you say (with caveats such as levels in UK etc)

Still can’t believe there is no TT for 2 consecutive years. Really annoyed with myself for not making the effort to go more often over the years.
At least we still have Olivers Mount to look forward to.The steps from the top field down to the crossing point at Sheenes Rise less so.

I do like Olivers Mount, it’s just a bit of a journey for me. Does anyone know if any of the big TT names (Dunlop, Harrison, Hickman or Hillier) are riding there this year. It would certainly provide an incentive to go.
Out of those I only really expect to see Harrison there.Guy Martin may?? Make an appearance again as he was there last year.
I'd expect to see Lee Johnston there again too.
Then there will be Joe Ackroyd, Dom Herberston, James Hind, Jamie Coward, Ian Lougher etc ... as well.
ETA. Davey Todd will be there riding for Wilson Craig.

McPint back on a Honda and Glen Irwin doing his first TT in the same Team.
Honda must have written a pretty big cheque and I wonder with the new COVID nonsense if it will go ahead anyway.

I can't help but feel that McPint should really be hanging up his leathers on the roads, he's the same age as me and really has nothing left to prove to anyone, I honestly don't see him challenging for Superbike or Senior wins anymore as the game has moved on, he has been off a litre bike for almost 4 years now, I think his knowledge and experience may bag him a podium but I'm mildly surprised he's still prepared to hang it all out and risk it all on the roads.

Relatively speaking he'll be cruising round IMO. He'll get his 100th TT start, he'll be 50 and the Fireblade 30. Plus a fat cheque.Nice way to go out. Hope COVID doesn't ruin it.

You should phone him and tell him, I’m sure he’ll appreciate your advice. On the other hand Joey was still winning TTs at 48, just before he died in Estonia. If he’s bike fit, and his blade is reliable and competitive, there’s no reason he cannot win imho. Nothing is a certainty at this level and he certainly has the experience. trickywoo said:

I just don’t think you can write him off as regards a podium or even, given a bit of luck ‘a win’. He always seem to pull it out of the bag.
I sincerely hope the TT runs next year. A week ago I was certain it would I just hope that recent events don’t change that

Maybe I will, or maybe I won't, whatever, its just my opinion, have huge respect for the guy as he's local to me and I'm a huge fan, I see him out and about regularly and occasionally say hello, I just don't want to see him become a TT statistic after all he has achieved.Jazoli said:

Don't think he'll be hanging it all out to be fair, he's too smart for that. He's going to get his 100 starts.
I am on island and love the TT as much as anyone. I desperately want it to go ahead.
However, there are a LOT of rumours coming from within those who organise it that logistically it might not be possible.
A lot of the police have never policed a TT before. No one has ridden the course in anger for three years.
The circuit is in a worse state than I ever remember.
And finally…..Marshall’s.
I hope these can all be overcome, but the rumours aren’t encouraging.

I was sent a questionnaire regarding Marshalling at the TT as I’d previously expressed an interest. However, there are a LOT of rumours coming from within those who organise it that logistically it might not be possible.

That was a number of weeks ago and I’ve heard nothing since.
