Yep. Be an amazing coincidence if it wasn't!
Haha yeah, I guess it would be. I'm a little bit obsessed with AOE2. Probably more than the bikes hehe

This thread has made me think of buying a non runner to park up in my lounge just to stare at and enjoy. A classic, a racer or some exotica.

I live alone, so no problem there, but I do live in a flat without a lift.

If OP bought the MV he'd need a japanese backup bike for when its feeling italian and he actually needs to ride somewhere rofl
That's what the Ninja 400 is for biggrin
Why do people think the MV's are any more unreliable than any another modern bike?

The F3's triple is a very reliable engine, I don't know of any real issues with them (over and above other modern engines). It's also a proper race engine with a counter-rotating crank. I've had both the 675 and the 800 versions, never had a problem. In 800 form it's a mental engine in a Dragster. Now have an F4 which is just as reliable bearing in mind it sticks out 205bhp.

The main issue was getting spares as MV were a bit slow. As KTM have a controlling stake, I am sure the spares issues will be resolved.

I would like the F4 in the lounge over winter, but i'm not allowed.

Do it! biggrin
Years back, someone I knew built a rigid Triumph chop with twelve over forks. He lived in a small flat above a shop. Once built, the bike had to be manhandled down the stairs. Not necessarily a problem, but the stairs had a 90 degree turn half way up. After getting the bike stuck, the whole front end had to be removed and the bike reassembled out on the road...
I learned not to build bikes in my front room, as they needed to be stood vertical on the rear wheel to get them through the door. The living room had no such problems...
Yes, I lived on my own!

Put the MV in the front room as a piece of art and ride the 400, is the obvious solution smile
You (possibly) joke, but the thought did occur to me.

I live alone so have no-one to complain, and it's such a gorgeous bike that it deserves to be seen regularly rather than sitting unseen in the garage most of the time. However I'd need to renovate the front room to justify such an objet d'art.
Not really joking, my RC8 lived in the house and Mk1 Le Mans in the office, I had an F4 MV for a weekend demo, rode it once for about 30 minutes but spent hours marvelling at it’s design, that would definitely be a front room bike.

Is this just what happens when you start riding bikes, and notice how the deposit on a good car buys an amazing bike outright? Am I doomed?
I will just say I bought all types of bike, Naked, retro, cruiser, RR, scooter, touring and GS all in 3 years after i pass my 400 exam. (Only 2 of them are bullet proof Japanese) Eventually I found what type of bike I like most. I never do crazy speed nor going a desert road trip, but you have to try to know what your heart set on.
