Had mine delivered.

Couldnt have been easier and meant I could tinker with it in the garage before riding out.

I picked my GSXR up brand spanking new in April 06 and it was the most disgusting filthy horrific day I've ever had the displeasure of riding a motorcycle in.

However, I was riding a brand spaking new bike, so I didn't really care.

Go and pick it up, ride it properly and don't worry about getting it dirty!!

Just to update you guys that thankfully the good old Scottish weather took a turn for the better. Went over to collect the bike and just rode it back home incident free biggrin

Could not be happier with the bike. So easy to ride which was surprising but it does need revs to go, which for someone of my limited experience is a good thing. The 50 mile journey was bloody freezing and my thighs are like jelly as I haven't rode a bike for 6 months so will be getting plenty of practice in the weeks ahead.

Will post some pics soon smile

Delivery if possible.

Nothing worse than pulling away from the dealers with your brand new bike and;

stalling it,
not being able to start it again cos it's in gear and the clutch is out,
spending two minutes working out the above while turning the igniton on and off and flicking the kill switch backwards and forwards,
revving it far too much next time so you don't stall it again,
running onto the wrong side of the road 'cos you revved it too much and didn't expect the clutch to bite,
clipping the wing of a parked car,
dropping your brand new bike of two minutes and twisting your ankle so bad everyone thinks it's broken and someone calls an ambulance,

with everyone in the dealers window watching you...

Wasn't me, but I was behind the glass...

laughing...

uncontrolably...

for ages...

and ages...

Do it at home and only the dog sees you (Yeah I know you want to see me ride off on it honey, but I just want to stand and look at it just now. Why don't you go back inside and put the kettle on...) and then you can tell the parts guy that someone knocked it off the stand while it was parked and the bad ankle's from footy.
And today while standing in the same dealers I watched a guy who had just picked up a Honda Innova (125 twist and go) horse off the premises and directly into an escort van on the other side of the road.

"The throttle jammed open..." apparently...
Not that the mechanics could get it to replicate the fault in the workshop...

No bones broken...
