my fireblade...in the 6+ years i've owned it...has NEVER let me down
In the first 5 years I had my blade it was faultless. It then spat a plug taking the head thread with it which meant stripping it all down. The following two years were ok. This year I've had 2 stators burn out, a fuel pump burn out and the front fork casings crack (although this was supposed to be subject to a recall but I didn't get the letter).
i better trade her in after christmas then wink

I have owned

Honda MB 5 - Never missed a beat
Kawasaki AR80 - Seized and clutch bolts came loose
Yamaha XT 250 - Never missed a beat
Yamaha XT550 - never let me down
Suzuki GSX1100E - Perfect
Suzuki GSX1100FJ- Perfect
Honda CBR1000 - Never let me down
Honda Firestorm - Never missed a beat
Honda VTR1000SP1- managed to pick up a 6mm drill bit through the rear tyre at 600 miles on the clock cry New rear tyre required.

For off roading I have also had

another Yamaha XT250 - despite totally abusing it it never failed
Yamaha TT350 - I haven't riden it in about 3 years but it has never failed.
A few months back, just out of curiosity I kicked the motor over and it fired 3rd kick.

You can keep your Italian stuff!

I have mates that have owned Aprilia Mille, Ducati Monster, Ducati 916, Laverda 750, and they have all been fookin disasters
