Agree about positioning but I guess the best defence is a bit of everything.

I've got a reasonably colourfull black and red lid and blue jacket but was very surprised in some photos from a trip a while back just how little colour is visable on me at a distance, and just how much more noticable a mate on a yellow bike wearing a jacket with yellow arms is. Think I mgiht go for a whilte lid next time.
Brilliant case in point right there... which bike did you see first?
Yep - the yellow one, and then the one in front...and oh, another in the middle.

I'm absolutley sure I'm cursed... on the way home tonight I rounded a bling left hand downhill corner about 200 yrds from my flat and some cretins had put 2 cones in the middle of the road, I managed to avoid them but it was close..If I'd hit one of those cones I'm pretty sure I would have come off. I was doing around 25 - 30mph.. not fast at all but enough to cause damage if body met tarmac.

So it's not just metal objects we have to avoid....potholes, cones, wet white lines and small children...the list must be endless!!

I'm wondering what will happen tomorrow...
