I had a pedestrian do this today - I'm following a taxi (there was a large gap AND I was to the left, so I could see the pedestrian myself from a long way away) and this woman waits for the taxi to go past and then starts to cross...

And then (all the time looking straight at me) gets the shock of her life as I zoom past just in front of her - I mean, what the hell? I was the only thing on the road behind the taxi, so how do you gaze in my direction for that long and not see me?
