Got it, but they're the brokers, not the underwriter - who is the insurance named on last years schedule? Looks like they don't have delegated underwriting, so will send on the actual insurers policy booklet.

I thought the only way you can unsorn it was to tax and you can't do that without insurance.
If you were to say to them that this is what you are going to be doing then how can they refuse?

It may just take a little while for you to get around to mot and taxing it. Although admitedly your dad couldn't claim for theft based on their T&Cs until it was taxed at least the renewal has taken place.
