Good to see Hefyn Owen getting some coverage and mention on the Live coverage.
He's on a supertwin #50. Worked at the same power station my old man did before he retired, so we spent some time visiting him in the paddock. No sponsors and uses nearly all his days off for this and the Classic TT... proper dedication.

My mate Sam West crashed his superbike yesterday lying in P6, airlifted to hospital but from the sounds of things and what he's posted on FB he's OK and still looking to race if he can get a bike and gets signed off.
Was that the crash at Laurel Bank? My mate is marshalling near there and said he had hurt his leg and hand, but should be ‘ok’.

The TT+ coverage is getting better each day. The heli shots are good now rather than the riders looking like ants!
Agreed I thought it was a really good show yesterday with some great footage and good commentary as well as some good interviews in the paddock. The only thing that marred it was Jennie Gow in that weird studio box with that journalist guy. She seems like a rabbit in the headlights and completely out of her depth. He clearly has some knowledge but lacks any presenting skills and relies on stating the obvious. If they didn't bother cutting away to them it would be a further improvement.A993LAD said:

Better than Jodie Kidd though, who was just stating a list of facts and clichés every time she was on air...Regbuser said:
Going over on Friday, never been before, tips on good vantage points around the course?
Lots of suggestions about, on Youtube, etc. What I would say is try and get there early and prepared to stay for the full day.I usually get there well before the roads shut, try and work out where the marshals will put the fences, set up my chair, food and flask of tea and settle in for the duration. It means a great view without being behind other people and comfy. Sometimes you can even set yourself up near a pub, though as I generally need to ride back to the campsite afterwards it's less of a priority.

Kirk Michael. Unbelievable. Coming down to and away from the Creg ny Baa pub is quite good too.

Didn't realise Richard Rawlings is the sponsor of Peter Hickman and FHO Racing with his Gas Monkey business. I guess the American youtubers discovering the TT is growing the interest the other side of the Atlantic.
If you're interested Hickman's team has documented the process on his YouTube channel (I found it interesting anyway!)Good to see the sidecars out first today, some quick times on the board!
