Kawasaki demo day at On yer bike this morning, I got out on the ZX10R and Z900. I loved the ZX10, ergonomics weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be and found it surprisingly easy to ride, suspension was a bit harsh for the test route but on the smoother stuff it really shined. Granted it's my first litre bike experience but it's definitely on the list, although insurance does look at a level I'm not ready to pay yet so may have to wait for another year or two of NCB.

The Z900 was more suited to the test route, I found it a really fun bike to chuck around, nice engine, mirrors we're a bit rubbish but otherwise was pretty good. One to consider.

Now I have the itch for a new bike, I think today just cemented my feeling that I've outgrown the CBR and can get on something with a bit more power and be comfortable straight away, it's been a great first bike but you can feel the difference in brakes, suspension and finish. I think I might try to get a test ride on a street triple for comparison, arguably the R might be more suited to my local roads but would be worth trying an RS to be sure.

Fek me, what did that? I've had nails go in at weird angles but never had something slash through like that!

I didn't see anything so have no idea!

Had been handling nicely until I gave it a bit off a roundabout and then a bit further down the road it all went a bit squirrelly.

Chaps required.

Great ride on a cracking day. Bit odd at first but easy to adapt to. Silly torque but huge fun.

Its a Speed Triple ....the 1200RS looks more like a cafe racer and has clip-ons

No, it is a 1050R. Couldn't quite stretch to the new 1200RS or RR. But having said that, I am loving this so far.

Went to get a new one piece but nothing fits my weirdo body shape. I'm like a tube of toothpaste that's been sat on.

But I saw these........not sure I need a sixth pair of gloves but look at them. Kinda retro cool and got them for £60 as they're old stock.

I’ve been looking at 916’s again this morning, I’ve been thinking for a while of dipping my toe back into Ducati ownership and buying one as a second bike, seems like 10k is now the going rate for an early unmolested bike.

That's my mate's 998 with a load of genuine Ducati carbon bits on it. I can't remember what he paid for it, he's not had it all that long, I seem to remember £9-ish.
