Rutter's lightweight bike! Stunning. Im sure it said moto italia on the frame?
Looks more like something you would have seen Sheene and Roberts racing on - https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-vie...graham22 said:
I didn't say which end!! Just tried to pace it back from the bend before Keppell Gate which is the 33rd.
The clerk of the course said they need to clear road side furniture (straw bails?), I guess it's be a right hander as most of the RHS is a drop/unprotected, so yes, more Gutheries end.
Yeah all air fencing on the lhs of the kink so imagine it got dragged all over the track. Good to see he is relatively ok as its quick thereThe clerk of the course said they need to clear road side furniture (straw bails?), I guess it's be a right hander as most of the RHS is a drop/unprotected, so yes, more Gutheries end.

Sad indeed.
I have a debate going on with a family member and they are of the opinion it should be banned as it's a waste of life. I disagree but sympathise of course but they, and their family know the risks.
What say PH?
As a road racer myself, I am well aware of the risks involved. I have raced with Alan Bonner in the past and he was a great, down to earth guy. A lot of people don't "get" road racing, asking why do we do it and is it all worth it etc. The simple answer is yes. In this day of health and safety and red tape, it is one of the few liberating experiences. Nothing else makes you fell so alive as running flat out down a public road with like minded souls. Long may it continue. I have a debate going on with a family member and they are of the opinion it should be banned as it's a waste of life. My son now also competes at club level

Michael was down in 6th before the stoppage and swapped the whole rear shock in the down time which, IMHO, they shouldn't be allowed to do.
It's all fair game. Don't forget Hutchy won one of his five after a restart allowed the team to fix an oil leak which would have otherwise made him retire. As others have said a really good effort from Suzuki and Hawk.
Perhaps Honda are just too big now and designing bikes by committee.
When Martin laughed when asked if pulling out of the Senior was a difficult decision says it all.

Perhaps Honda race bikes are designed by their F1 engine team, might explain a lot....As others have said a really good effort from Suzuki and Hawk.

For anyone who doesn't know it this video was taken at the corner hutch crashed at, on the previous lap.
