Fernandez I care very little about he was throwing his teddies out the pram a few races into his first year and his manager was throwing all sorts of accusations about., Miguel is seemingly not able to make great career decisions, he could have been at Honda yet tried to push them into a long deal they were unlikely to agree to, he must have known far more about the RNF situation than we do yet decided to stay when I am convinced he would have got riders over and above maybe Diggi or one or two others yet he remains in this team which looks and feels a bit odd. I hope it goes well but it doesnt look good does it

Livery is rad though. I think they'll be fine as long as there is enough money behind them.

A lot of the staff at RNF like mechanics etc were apparently employed by Aprilia. Job losses and changes are most likely in Malaysia back office. The Americans will want Roberts on one of the bikes soon enough i assume.

I agree with Luke on this one, Miguel doesn’t make good career decisions. KTM to satellite Aprilia and tuning down HRC - he needs better advice.

You need to speak to his manager, Mr F. Alonso.

It is going to be really interesting to see how this unfolds.

How long are track house prepared to be on the grid, potentially not winning. There is little US talent in the series currently which they'll want on their bikes.
Lot's of chat about how Trackhouse are winners etc etc .... Could be sometime before they find victory lane, certainly with a US rider.

Dorna appointed a Chief Commercial Officer from the US and there's a bit of an untidy exit for one team and in the other hand we've got a US team ready to go & available. Whilst Trackhouse are going to bring a different character and approach to MotoGP, which is a good thing IMO, what else do they bring in terms of expertise in bike racing? It is a much more international series (races) than WSB is these days and expanding the footprint further should enhance the series.

Agree that Fernandez and Olivier must be thinking, WTF, now I'm riding around on the Stars and Stripes livery. Pretty clear indicator of which nationality should be on the bike. A lot depends now I'd guess on how many of the Aprilia mechanics, old RNF staff are available for continuity with the riders versus new people into the garage.

Trackhouse want to win. One of their current Nascar drivers is Shane Van Gisbergen from NZ. His surname is not indigenous to NZ by the sounds of it.

You can see the $ signs spinning in the Dorna eyeballs, that's all this new team is about for them, crack the USA market the same way Liberty Media are attempting with F1.

You can't blame them, the tradition European market is on its arse financially by comparison.

Judging by this article, they will have the staff and machinery. Looks like a serious effort.

Livery aside, I think Oliveira and Fernandez may end up in a better position than they had been.

Yeah I think this a result for them for their careers next year. RNF had issues and an input of fresh energy sounds positive. they'll also be based out of Noale so as close to a proper aprillia b team (unsure if that's a good thing).

It is an opportunity in one way. Aleix has said himself that he's looking to retire from front line MotoGP riding at the end of the season, and it's a pretty obvious move to replace Savadori with him as a tester. Savadori is drifting into the category of not actually being fast enough to be a useful test riders. Maverick is Maverick and isn't going to get better. So if one of them does well, there's at least one option for a factor bike.

Neither really impressed this year. Raul Fernandez finished behind both Rins and Nakagami in the championship despite the former spending most of the year in the physio room. Oliveria can be very fast in the right conditions.

The Race article I linked to states the deal with the new team will lead to factory bikes in 2025. That in itself is a better deal for the Aprilia satellite team riders, aside from any potential move to the factory team.

Will be better for Aprilia too if they start taking their satellite team more seriously.

Davide Brivio has left the Alpine F1 team, rumoured to be replacing Puig at Honda. Mir will be happy.
