Some of my old bikes, in this case fireblades.

Great bikes, other than the black and white one which shat its crank at 16k.

Is that your dad ? How cool is that guy, a modern photo would have his leg out front how times change, i used to ride a cr 80 until my dad got me into school boys club trials riding,

I remember having a go on a cr 500 at 15 years of age and HOLY st eek To be fair to my old man I grew around bikes and he paid for all my new trails bikes over the years and took me to all the competitions over the years but he never looked that cool bless him.

He even let me ride some of his road bikes when i was 16 unbeknown to him biggrin He knows now but they where different times smile

Ended up working for the last few days because one of the limp wristed faggots who works for me called in sick even thought I knew he wasn't, p45 time for him on his return, so I filled the car full of bike bits and have been working my way through them, wheels today

They came out really well considering its just etch primer and rattle can satin black.

On the old photo theme, this was about 20 years ago, usher at a friends wedding and took the best man to the church on the back of the Harley, shortly after the photo was taken. leathers and body armour cunningly hidden under the top hat and tails whistle

There's so many dodgy bikes out there, they seem to attract the worst kind of 'kustomizer'

Typing 'Streetfighter' into ebay is always good for a laugh, plenty of deluded fools trying to pass on pre-crashed bikes for more than a nice standard example would be worth, bar end mirrors must add at least £500 to the value.

Another 2010 RRA that st it's crank ... at least I got 30k miles out of mine!

Yet it's only supposed to affect the 2008-2009 versions that got an extended five year warranty... according to Honda, yet they provided an updated crankshaft kit that covers 2008-2011 ... the cost? - £1500 + VAT + fitting ...

I stripped mine and cut my losses. I'll never buy a Honda again.

Depends on the price to buy the bike as parts can be crazy £££.... when you can find them.

Not fking right is it!

Someone dreamt them up and carried on going until they were *finished? * without anyone or even themselves having a 'wtf' moment!
The mind boggles

Continuing the street fighter theme ...

Always fancied a Simpson lid for tooling about on the LCs, having tried (but not owned) a Bandit many moons ago in the early 90s, I found it too draughty and noisy at high speed, which is fair enough as it wasnt designed for bike use .

Anyway, I decided I wanted one after seeing a few around but I needed to try them for myself, problem is there isnt a wide range of stockists about so I ended up visiting the UK importers (Kick Motorsport) today to try on the three lids I was most interested in, good job I did as 2 of the lids I was a different size(Street and Venom) and one of them crushed me conk a bit too much (M30), so I came away with a Venom which has a nice quality feeling liner, integral visor(I had to get a black one anyway....its the law..) feels light...and its street legal!

They did me a very good price as well.

I plan to still be using the Arai on the Firestorm and for longer trips but I love the look of it....

Visor looks massive compared to the originals!

Agree with your comments about noise & draught of the old ones, can remember watching rain drops blowing across the inside of the visor on my old one.

Have to admit I was tempted by the new Simpson Bandits but decided they just weren't like the Bandits (and Star Wars) of old. If Simpson did an accurate reproduction of the old ones ...........
