I laughed out loud at "Pistonheads: Dating Matters"! (I am not looking for a date BTW, am indeed only cadging bike rides) At least the bikers seem more civilised than P&P.... well, I say that having not met them yet!

SplatSpeed - Despite your user name being a bit offputting (!) I would be interested in going out, thank you I'd like to get a look at as many bikes as I can, and would appreciate anyone explaining the basics to me. I know zip, nada, zilch about bikes but am very keen to learn.

Dammit- I'm over the "Watford Gap", over weight, over the hill and over the time of life where I was free to offer rides to young ladies for the fun of it.. (I think)

Have fun & enjoy biking- just make sure whoever gives you a ride round keeps it rubber side down.
