I knew it was a slippery slope when they started added go faster wings to bikes, perhaps the "pre wing era" models will maintain more value now wink

Unless you're the likes of Rossi or Marquez and riding on track...what's the point? Does it make any discernable difference on road? Other than looking ridiculous, that is.

Had some work completed on the H2 the last couple of days, wanting to expierence some of the (relatively) easy access to the additional power they can make alongside eliminating the horrid , tiring snatchy throttle.

Chose a brushed finish Vandemon full system, which along with junking the emissions gubbins gave a worthwhile 12.5kg weight reduction. I love the look of the downpipes which have already blued up nicely.

Standard it made 210bhp at the tyre with 98 ft lb torque, now its at 237 at the wheel( around 265 crank) , nearly 110 ft lb torque.

Large gains everywhere in the rev range…its making 125RWHP at just 4,000rpm now!

Cant wait to get out on it…

Think ill get away with leaving this out permantly.

That looks superb, loving the pipe. I have toyed with the idea of something like that on the ZZR, but it seems the twin Akra's it has provide the best performance. Give us an update once you've been out on that smile

Is it though? I mean, it's impressive don't get me wrong, but I feel like it should be able to make considerably more power than that. I know I could rotrex or turbo a zx10 and add more than 30-40hp for instance, but I suppose it wouldn't be as drivable or reliable hehe

I'm not suggesting for one minute 230 odd hp isn't enough in a bike by the way, I'm talking general engine tech here.

PCR Performance in Cannock mate.

Reputed to be the experts on these, they run/support the OMG racing team so I felt I was in safe hands.

That is a fair comment mate.

You can get a Busa up to 800bhp and whack a turbo on most things, im sure the TTS Busa would smash it BUT I think the thing is with the H2, the gains are easy to have.

The remap cost £390…many people dont fit an aftermarket exhaust and still get similar gains.

Fitting the exhaust opens up the pathway to more mods/power but ill stick where I am.

From all ive seen and heard, the engine is strong and their is no more than normal servicing required.

the Kawasaki dealer faciliated the work so I have their back up as well…

So yeh, 265bhp(crank) isnt a stonking headline figure but it should be an “everyday” useable bike with no dramas to it, no extra servicing requirements and still running on pump fuel.

Dyno predicts 0-180 in 12ish seconds and way past 210MPH, ill see you on your Turbo soon?biglaugh

I think the twin pipe set up suits the 1400 better looks wise Rick.

Will be sure to give an update, I bet it drags up to Spring now…
