Very nice! I test rode one of these on Saturday, exact same colour scheme, first time on a litre bike having only passed last September. Wow! Great fun to ride, think I'll be sensible for the first bike, but one of these is on the list for sure
Yeah it's not a bad thing - oft overlooked I think. I've no doubt there are better in terms of technology (this has ABS and combined rear>front brakes) but that's about it. Gets a little wayward under hard acceleration above license losing speeds and people say a steering damper helps, but otherwise it's a bit of a riot - more so with the new can on. I can see myself keeping this for a good while as it's a pretty decent all round fun bike - that said the MT10 does tempt me!happyWanderer said:
Finally can take a sandwich to work on the bike:
I used one of these Givi bad boys on my old blackbird commuting daily in London for 7 years, mine got removed off the rack by a van just diving into a non existant gap while I was there filtering through one morning and it bounced down the road with the mounting plate still attached, whilst cosmetically challenged it still worked fine. One comment I do hope the panniers come off for commuting you don't want to be mistaken for a bearded GS rider holding up all the other bikers do you?
One of my work mates just got his Tiger 800 XC, its a very nice bike indeed.

A little too pimped up for my liking - nice to see big discs on it but not much point with the standard single piston caliper.Everyone to their own.
At least the dry clutch will make the right hissing whizzy noise, not the bag of nails sound certain big V twin, sorry L twin clutches make - a TZ fan will know what I mean (help me out Scunnylad here please).

Panniers and rack got taken off as soon as I got the whole lot home from the office. Won't be going on until bank holiday weekend for a Wales/Lake District and for 3 weeks in europe. One comment I do hope the panniers come off for commuting you don't want to be mistaken for a bearded GS rider holding up all the other bikers do you?

Did some very careful filtering on a40, not fun. Could never understand people who carry those commuting.
I dont even use the topbox for commuting, either use Kriega R25, or a bigger backpack strapped onto the passenger seat.
Mine is a non XC 11 plate - love it! Great engine, and surprisingly nimble for it's size.
