I just bought a new Shark Evo-one flip up lid, as a replacement for my 4 year old Evoline. I must say im really impressed with the improvements they have made to his helmet. The quality feel and features for £300 are great VFM.
There are lots of small improvements like;
smaller overall size and a little lighter (1650g)
pinlock supplied as standard
magnetic fold down chin skirt, really makes a difference to noise with the improved neck seal
better ventilation that really works to top and chin
less noise, really good for bikes without fairing
and of course you can still ride with it as jet or full face helmet, which is the key selling point compared to other "flip front" lids

Broke in my new AGV today and am impressed by the aerodynamics of it. Super stable at speed, seems unaffected by crosswinds, and has very low drag/wind resistance compared with my Schuberth and Shoei. Really like the usability of the instant tint of the LCD visor too - all helmets should have this!

Very smart, which model is that? I've always wanted one of the Pista GPs in the Soleluna design but they're ferociously expensive. I had an AGV K3 which was one the cheap ones and when I upgraded from that to an HJC RPHA 10+ I noticed a massive reduction in buffeting, the HJC has worked very well with all of the bikes I've ridden it with. It's more stable than my Shoei NXR, but not as quiet although there isn't a huge amount in it.

It's a Corsa. It's the same as the Pista GP except fibreglass rather than carbon, and has closeable vents in it as opposed to just big holes that you need to plug with rubber if it rains!Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
