I couldn’t see s
t on the M1, my visor was misting up on inside and snowy on the outside, it was coming down really heavily. I saw a few other hardened bikers heading out of London ![thumbup](/inc/images/thumbup.gif)
Same problems! 30 miles around Coventry. Wasn't too cold, just couldn't see without lifting the visor up and then it was snow in the face!![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

That and none of my waterproof gear appears to be waterproof

Same issue with the visor, with it down was impossible to see and kept misting up. With visor up i kept having icy water /snow in my eyes which was pretty painful/unpleasant. Arrived home with ice settled on my jacket. Pretty cold. Also noticed lots of drivers were pretty crap and kept pulling out on me out of side roads

Was a tough journey and I only go about 11 miles
That’s what me and the Multi looked like when I got home after 42 miles ...![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

Glad people are back safely.
I may work from home tomorrow.

Notice the same in the rain, as soon as they think they have an advantage over you they start taking liberties.
I must say I don't understand it, in poor visibility, low grip situations you'd think people would err on the side of caution. But certainly doesn't seem to be the case. CoolHands said:
I want to go in the car tomorrow....but on the other hand I can’t stand the traffic! Even tonight I was enjoying being able to get through the grid lock of moronic drivers in some parts.
Same dilemma. At the beginning of winter I told myself if the outdoor thermometer was reading less than 5c i would take the car. Each day it got colder I just re calibrated my minimum temperature. My current min temp for the bike is -2c, sure this will be changed to -3c the first time I see that on the thermometer!Cor - that was a cold ride home last night.
Luckily I managed to miss most of the flurry as I left the office about 4:15
Was still a heavy later of snow on the fields this morning.
No dramas today, apart from a very cold pinky finger.
Oh and an ambulance that decided to use the middle of the dual carriage way instead of the hard shoulder (is this the norm in heavy / still traffic? ) Causing cars to dart left and right. The ambulance was making slow progress so I was behind them for a few junctions.
Oddly they then decided to get off at whatever junction it was and then straight back on but use the hard shoulder this time.
Fine for me as it gave me a chance to get a good distance infront of them

Blizzard on the way home yesterday which was interesting to say the least! I could barely see for most of the journey so just kind of guessed by the position of the tail lights and head lights where I should be on the road and took it slowly. Worst bit was trying to wide my visor but just smearing it, then opening it and getting a face full of snow. I looked like a yeti by the time I stumbled through the front door. ![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)

Ride home last night was pretty wild, I had to wipe my visor with my hand every couple of minutes from the snow, which meant my left hand was starting to go numb with cold, traffic had slowed on the M4 so slush was starting to build up between lanes. Fair play to the guy on the sports bike who went flying past me, your balls were bigger than mine.
To top it off, the exhaust went about halfway home, which will probably write the bike off as the bolts will probably snap in the block if I try to change it, but we will see.
Took the car today.

rubbish and freezing ride home last night - ok when I left town at 6, then couldn't see through visor so had lumps of sleet in the face, gloves and boots gave up any semblance of waterproofness and was freezing - (the Honda Grom having a tiny engine gives off no heat to warm hands or feet!!!)
- got past N London where a bloke I was following fell off so dropped them off at a pub to get help
then headed home passing guys who had decided to stop near the A1 rather than ride through the sleet - I thought about joining them but wouldn'tt be getting any warmer or improving things so got home frozen to the core then straight into a hot bath - not fun
- got past N London where a bloke I was following fell off so dropped them off at a pub to get help

I can live with days like that, they are few and far between and using the bike heavily outweighs any other option in most scenarios!- got past N London where a bloke I was following fell off so dropped them off at a pub to get help
