You'll have that doen in a jiffy.

Bike looks very clean, I recenly had a punt on Mr 996SPSs VFR750 and was really impressed with it, such an easy bike to use and throw around, despite on paper being fairly hefty..sounded fab and went well enough too.
As it was it was pretty lumpy and missy until revving more, so I can't want to get it running right; it sounds glorious when on song.

Done 14000km and stored for 10 years or so in a dry garage, hence the manky carbs! It's like working on a new bike though, no corroded bolts etc.

On my Shoei lid some of the padding can be removed but not all the lining.
Which is why I use balaclavas. All the sweat and drool goes into the balaclava which gets flung in the wash at the end of a ride.

Also the fear I have with the above method is that the impact liner will become saturated and damaged.

Helmets are designed to be used in the wet but not submerged or jets of water forced in. Yes helmets don't carry an ip rating but I would air caution to the above method.

That's just me however.
Just to aleviate your concerns MTB, it was an Arai rep that told me of this method many years ago...balaclavas(even on a hot day, really?) make your bounce more sweaty and some of that will wick away into the lining of your lid..
Honestly, heat doesn't bother me at all, im the only cold blooded Scotsman I think.

I'm that hard I have to sleep with an electric blanket on.

but if the guy from Arai says that's fine then my fears are obviously unfounded.

At knockhill in July Moanthebairns was wrapped up like a woman on a cold day, it must have been over 25 degrees too.

Nice, I never get any good ones of me there. frown

I've been twice this year on my S1000RR, how did you find it? any idea what times you were doing?

Loved it, been there before on my old 675 Daytona a few years ago but the bhp of the S1K was very fun!
Didn't manage to get many laps in as was raining most of the time, planning on getting out there a few more times next year to work on reducing times

That seat doesn't look comfortable nor sporty.
It looks like you're going to be perched about two foot higher than your screen
