Glad most had a great day. Was the weather as nice as it was inland? We saw 20degrees over the weekend. Proper summer weather.
I love Anglesey except that last corner. I hate how the pit entrance looks like it's the corner and then the two big holes in the tarmac where you think you should be
yes, really warm at times in the afternoon.

That last corner is a funny one, it's almost like I overbraked every single time, I was braking hard and passing a lot of people on the way in but then getting to the corner to slowly but it seemed to draw me in to do the same thing every time!

I had a good weekend at Anglesey, the circuit is really nice, well when the suns out, its incredibly grippy and wide. I did become a bit fed up with the hairpins but id definitely go again for a double header like this weekend, but I wouldn't camp.

I got there about 1am on the Sunday. I was so late as Tesco had ran out of fuel and no petrol station, and I mean no where was open. There really isn't much in Anglesey. I got there and had to pitch the tent with the O/H. What a fking chore this was at 1 in the morning. I couldn't see so I pitched it up right next to a street light and a white building. Turns out it was the bogs and showers, which was great when prats started going for a shower at 5 am. I mean I ask you, who the fk gets up at 5am for a shower.

The first night was utter murder. I have never put a tent up in my life and after a 350 mile drive it turned out to be a lot harder than I thought in the dark. I'd like to find the man who invented the tent and smack him in the back of the head. It was filled with magic wand things and tracing paper thin sheets. I erected something that sort of looked like a tent, then tried to inflate my inflatable mattress but it wasn't happening. I had to hold up my tent if I wanted to move, I spent most of the night shivering and completely soaked. I now understand why all those refugees look so fking miserable living for weeks on end in a tent. BECAUSE IVE BEEN fkING CAMPING.

I met loon and hedge, then set up in the pit. I never bothered to learn the track before going and then I got sent out for 3 sighting laps in thick fog. fk me I have never been so scared on two wheels. I had no idea which way it went and couldn't see the next corner due to the fog. Madness sending you out in that.

It got called off for a few hours till the fog went. By mid afternoon the sun was out and I finally remembered the track. I really enjoyed it. After some lessons I was down to a around 1.48-53, which I've no idea if that's good or bad.

After the day I went in search for a pump for my bed after the track day, no where was open. Everything was shut, the place was a ghost town. I was trying to find a restaurant for a meal with the O/h but everywhere was shut or they stopped serving food at 6 pm. Add in no phone signal for days and you'd think you had went back in time.

I spent another night shivering, and holding in a piss as I couldn't face going out in the freezing cold, walking through the wet grass and getting all soaked. I was in for an even better treat when I went from a shower. One minute its freezing the next its melting. I have never been so cold in my life. Half of me was still in the shower as I tried to dry myself and put clothes on, whilst trying not to touch the manky floor with my feet.

it was much nicer the second day and when the sun is out like this and you catch a glimpse of the sea its quite spectacular.

I had a good morning right until the clown next to me in the garage dropped his bike taking it off the paddock stand and into mines. I heard a "Oh no" and a crash, only to see his bike go into mines sending mines skidding across the floor like a lawn bowl.

I wasn't impressed, I was even less impressed when he fked off and never said sorry, nor offered to pay for the damages. I did catch him later and he said sorry and offered to pay for the repairs, a whole twenty quid for a tin of spray paint and some fibreglass. Its lucky mines weren't custom painted track ones that cost a fortune.

I left with a session to go, but in truth I was fked come midday. The last session I done I could have walked around quicker. After a huge drive, a track day and 5 pints the day before and a st sleep I just wanted my bed. I had a mammoth drive back up the road and was glad to be getting home to my own bed.

One thing is for sure, its so much better doing days like this than knockhill, over and over again. When I add everything up, it probably costs the same, maybe a little more traveling away and doing these days than two at knockhill. I do really need to get off my arse and spend some money on my track bike though, from my road tyres to factory suspension its just a road bike with some st fairings on it.

I must be really st then as I was only down to 1.48/50 mark when pushing like a bear with the instructor.

You should move up to inters if that's your pace. Most of the morning I was getting over taken, by afternoon I still was but I was overtaking more than I was being overtaking.

By day two I could have enjoyed a session or 5 in novice.

there was none, I had a few beers with loon and hedges mates whilst trying to get a heat from a disposable bbq, I took a piss on the track, then went to the club house and tried to get a signal and use the wifi, it was horrendous just how st the signal was there, I was sending stuff on the Saturday and it was only coming out as sent when I got home.

yeah i remember its a bit like league of gentleman around there. Well at least you had a good weekend on track with some cracking weather. Shame some tool knocked your bike over and looks like a real adventure. Although your tent erecting skills look like ste. might aswell of just used the tent like a big sleeping bag with no poles!

Anyone doing Anglesey - May 4th 2015?

A wiki which could be updated with dates and names would be ideal.

You were lucky it wasn't that cold or pissing down mate.

It doesnt matter what time it is everything is always closed in North Wales.

The road signs are ridiculous. You are half asleep trying to read it and you have no idea if it's Welsh or English. They are in the same colour and font it's bloody distracting. You can't pronounce half the towns, they live in a draconian style, I mean even tesco, asda, Morrisons and mcd's were shut

What kind of a restaurant stops serving food at 6pm on a Sunday. The only good part of it was being able to have a pint with my meal and not feel like a fking criminal for drink driving.

No wonder the only good thing to come out of Wales was fireman Sam and even that was becoming a bit stale as the series went on.

If discussions happen on here, the wiki/sticky can be updated with actual bookings?

Yes it was free, I think the place me and prolapse are looking to camp at croft is £7. fk paying those bds 7 quid to sleep on a piece of grass.

Its not worth me doing 700 + miles round trip for one track day. One id be fked to do that in a day, and if the weather is st like it was sunday, that's half a day wasted.
