I do love an old Zed
nerd ...b...b...but but that left side generator cover isn’t factory standard for a Z900 wink
Oh we aren’t worrying about factory standard......

Looks good. What are you going for? Eddie Lawson replica style?

Am looking forward to seeing your thread and project. I have to admit although my reaction on seeing 'bars like that is WTF, on further reflection I do feel a twinge of sadness as someone loved the bike enough to do that when their body was starting to call time on youthful activities....

Jay Leno mentions being too old for crouch forward riding positions:

The KTM dealer in Hemel Hempstead had a 401 Vitpilen where they'd replaced the clip ons with the higher bars from a 401 Svartpilen.

Agreed, I had that thought a couple of times, once looking at a blade fighter a guy had done and again at a 5pw R1. On the one hand, seems wrong to change these bikes like that, but on the other as long as it makes the rider happy and buys them a bit longer riding, who cares.

Agreed! I'm of a split opinion too of it has "trashed" a nice bike by chopping the front fairing and adding the upright bars but I can understand why some might do it.
Its not my cup of tea though although it does make the seating position quite comfortable!

Strangely enough I find my 999R comfortable but that Triumph would probably have me in pain after a while through compression on my spine!

How high is the Corkscrew ??

Pic 1 - Taken from the viewing spot at the top, that bit of tarmac is the peak entry point into the Corkscew:

Pic 2 - Taken from the same spot but I turned round 180 degrees to look back to the Paddock and Turn 1 which is the piece of track just beyond the right hand turn leading under the Yokohama sign:

What goes up ... must come down ... smile

I took hundreds of 35mm pictures at bike racing. Eventually cleared out all the dross and I was left with these three as the best...

No prizes but who can be first to name the circuit?

And this happy memory of simpler days

Not really bike (not bike at all), but I did another fat boy breakfast today. All I’ve eaten since about half nine when I had this is an apple and a tangerine and that was only about half an hour ago.
