I don't think you've washed your bike in all the time I've known you!

You have to make sure you park next to OCD on the next rideout you come to, you'll make him ill hehe
He's done that before on a ride out ... I have to look away and bite the inside of my mouth... hehe

I Have seen this bike before, really love the Thunderace such a great bike...how long have you had it?

That paint job really suits it too.
Had it 3 months now, you may have seen a bike like it, there seems to have been a few done but by different people.

Visited a chap I know in the week and this was sat in the house, a brand new RD500.

Apologies for the crap picture but it was beautiful in the flesh.

And the salt may or may not have gone down too. There is a bloke I work with, rides his "nice" bike to work most days and has a Yamaha TDM for the winter. It doesn't appear that it gets ACF, or even a wash after each season, it's a lesson in what salt and grime can do to a bike, it's rusted to buggery. The swingarm looks like a rusted iron girder poking out the back of the bike.

I do like TDMs though, they look like the perfect commuting bike, they seem to hold their value a little more than I'd have expected though, clean ones fetch more than I thought they would.

I'm st on bikes compared to most... But fk me I miss it when it's winter! There is honestly nothing I love more than riding my bike down a good road, on a nice day.

I've always wanted one of these and I've no idea why. Rarity? Underdog? Because I've never ridden a parallel twin? Who knows.

This and a TRX 850.

Might just have figured it out, when I was 17 I wanted a TDR 125 which looked very similar to the early TDM 850 but couldn't find one for sale so bought a DT125 R.

How's this for a start, taken about five mins ago outside work & yes my number plate is indeed a totally private plate wink

Ok I agree, I need to get a pic of mine next week, my plate is about a halfway house currently i.e. still way more visable than yours! wink
Recent rain actually seems to have cleaned the bike a bit lol
No ACF50 no regular cleaning or polishing and its still not vaporised

Colleague of mine has been commuting on his '10 plate Street for the past two odd years, its a great little bike for all the above reasons and it just happens to be a hoot in summer too. Apart from the regulator issue and a dicky clutch lever cutoff micro switch (which seems to have cured itself) its been pretty reliable too. He's lobbed it twice and the damn thing just keeps working.
