Your biking aims for 2020

I'd quite like to go to a European Moto GP round on my bike, the trouble always is finding people to go with as some of my mates always say they're up for going to one then life gets in the way!.

This is why I wonder about continuing to rent bikes instead of buying one.

Test ride? Fake a bit of interest at half a dozen dealers, choose a couple of similar bikes (to “narrow your decision down”, e.g Street Triple & Speed Triple or KTM 790 & 1290 - you get the idea) and you’ll do 5-600 miles per year.

If you use your current bike (if you still own one) to get to the dealer rather than the car then hey presto 1500 - 2000 mile easy!

Send them over. I am riding from SF to LA via Palm Springs and some mountain routes starting the 16th January!!!

Convert my current bike to a track bike (ZX6R)
Do more track days
Purchase a Speed Triple RS for the road
Do my first European road trip - more than likely Spain
Get my knee down (every year the same, never managed it!)

Not riding but biking related - MCN Festival in February

Get a new bike, hopefully a 16 Speed triple 94 edition

Do a track day on my bike (FZS600) or rent/borrow a sportsbike

Wheelie school would be a bonus aim, the only one so far has been when i rolled on the throttle too hard with a pillion

You'v fking done better than I managed. Between a baby and a six month house extension/garden renovation project, I scarcely had the cash or the energy to ride this year. By the time I was on top of that lot, I couldn't really be bothered to get the bike on the road. So, end of March next year I will be getting it taxed and on the road with some new tyres.

Part of the building project was building a new garage at home to house the bike. I haven't even been down the road to the garage where I store it to bring it home yet.

I can relate to this. Trying to start off with a Grom or TNT125, not as intimidating for her, just to prove I won’t die.

Bloody wedding and honeymoon in 2020 to pay for so bugger all money left for motorbikes.

But I'm ignoring that little issue and hoping something will turn up like a money tree sprouting up in the garden for:

1. Mates and I are planning trip to Le Mans 24 hour Moto in April. Campsite armageddon.
2. Do a European trackday.
3. Ride to the Misano GP as it maybe Rossi's last.
4. Ride the North Coast 500.
5. Have a second attempt at the KTM motocross school I did this year as the weather made it lethal and was cut short.

Fat chance though.

ride to Albania (never been so why not) via Spa, B500, ring and transfagarasan

trackday on the superduke - maybe bring the old R1 along too

maybe sell the R1 and buy a Yamaha Tenere 700 and do a bit of the TET

Just go on your own! I went to the Bol Dor in the south of France for my first time in Europe on a bike. Brilliant, don't have to wait for people, eat what and when you want. Just do it!
