So are we all minded to think when the new 20mph limit comes in next week on every road within the congestion charge zone it will be heavily policed / enforced at the beginning to make sure the message gets through?
anyone know what this means? Is it police are are some other officials allowed to enforce?

If they really went full-on Nazi on it, it would kill commuting in by bike. Whilst I'm no lunatic, the whole joy of the bike is the ability to "make progress" when appropriate to do so. If you're crawling alongside every car at 20mph it's just going to be pointless. May was well drive anyway. That'll go down well.

Just remember, TfL won’t rest until private vehicles of all types are effectively banned from within the M25.‘Course they can’t actually say they’re banning them cos that’d be like Communistism or something.
Instead, they just making it so bloody awkward that the great unwashed simply give up and turn to the Tube, buses or those stupid e-bikes that get left everywhere.
Well I commuted in on my new Honda Monkey bike today rather than my Guzzi. What a hoot, you end up going for gaps that you could only dream about before, seriously great commuter once you are inside the M25, a bit tedious outside as it’s not got the oomph for the bit of the A1 I come down on so had to alter my route but no bad thing.

Guy in stationary traffic decided to turn right just as I was about to pass. I checked my camera and there was 1 second between indicator going on and his manoeuvre. Immediately admitted fault and that he didn’t see me.

Sorry to hear that. Same thing happened to me about 15 years ago filtering up to a set of traffic lights (Graham Road Westbound, approaching the Junction with Dalston Lane if you know the area of East London...the car turned right into Stannard Road) I got paid out eventually, but have resolved ever since not to overtake anything opposite a possible right turn whether traffic is moving or stationary. Did you get the admission on camera?What a day.
Guy in stationary traffic decided to turn right just as I was about to pass. I checked my camera and there was 1 second between indicator going on and his manoeuvre. Immediately admitted fault and that he didn’t see me.
I’m fine. Bike needs a new rear set, new levers and new indicators. Maybe a new front wheel.
followed some utter tool on Thursday who had his arms folded on top of his steering wheel so he could read a book on his phone!!
was along side him for about 10 seconds, he was even turning pages.
really starting to wonder if i should have a go pro on my helmet and start sending some of these to the police.

Funny the way it works out as the same thing happened to me not long ago. Filtering up the outside 5mph, on goes the indicator for the right turn and pulls across in front of me. I'd actually stopped by the time impact happened but the driver kept going, ran his small van along my front tyre.

I think that's the best option. I'm going to start doing it as well. The number of times I see people running red lights because of their sanctimonious self-entitlement, dangerous driving, on phones, etc. I'm sick of hooting and indicating their fault - it's time to rather send evidence where it can be used and let the fine be issued.was along side him for about 10 seconds, he was even turning pages.

Haven’t been commuting in for the last week due to work travel & what a difference a week makes!
Was light when I left the house at 6:30am, sailed down the M4 and at work in record time and most vans moved so I could filter through.
Hoping the commuting gods look down on me for the rest of the week.

Not posted in here a lot, my slipped disc and residual nerve damage still make riding the Multistrada a struggle, its a year this week that my regular commuting ended when I injured my back, add to that a change of job that only requires me to now be in London 2 days a week in an area with minimal secure parking near Somerset House, means I am on the train / tube and have to say although stupidly expensive, it is proving stress free, we have been working from home for nearly 2 weeks now and as of this morning have closed all our offices globally.
My sanity was being kept alive by having Portimao booked for early April but that looks 95% unlikely, hopefully this all clears soon.
I really feel for those less fortunate health or finance wise and hope we all pull through and can rebuild.
