I did it last October. Great climate, but that's all its got going for it in my opinion. I didn't like the track, too many slow corners and hairpins which I hate. I prefer faster and more flowing, but if you love scratching then go for it.
Tarmac is very abrasive so take twice as many tyres as you normally would, including front tyres.

Good mention on the tyres as I was just asking my track group that. As for the track that sounds right up my street. I did Andulucia and Almeria last year. Everyone except me and one other preferred Almeria. I found Doni hard other week as its fast and flowing. I prefer more mx style tracks like CadwellTarmac is very abrasive so take twice as many tyres as you normally would, including front tyres.
I'll have to watch some YouTube videos as Ive not seen it yet. You reckon 2 V02 fronts and 3 rear? Seems alot for 3 days but I guessing on the third day tyres will still be quite fresh by the end?

I was there in Feb this year, and two rears and one front was just about right using Vo2's. If I was using Pirelli Slicks, you can easily do a rear per day
Got a day in at Snetterton last week.
After a somewhat aborted first visit there earlier in the year, when the gearbox in my old ZX10R st the bed after about 6 laps, I've been itching to get back there
It was an open pitlane day, which was ok for getting laps in, but there were some very slow people there that were potentially an accident waiting to happen (I'm no rossi, but there were a couple of guys that were mid Novice group at best)
As it happens, there was a big crash and some guys bike got launched 8 foot in the air when he collected a slower rider at the end of the long straight (I'll get a flying bike pic up later as I caught the crash on my camera - The chap was ok, just concussed, but his bike was a wreck)
Besides that, it was a fun day and I really liked the track

I know what you mean. I did my first open pit lane at Snett as well a while back. Great fun but I had the same thoughts and I am by no means fast. There were some people out there that suits things which just didn't make logical sense. It was cold though and we see 6 red flags before lunch. I was told after this was quite rare and it normally flowed better... I must've been unfortunate
Managed to grab a screenshot of the bike mid air now.
The bike slid, and then when it hit the curb, it just gripped and launched.
If there's one lesson to be learnt from this, is that the guy had those massive R&G frame slider things that look like a pair of coke cans hanging out the side, so I'd guess they were what caught and flipped the bike.

Wow what a shot to catch. As you said fortunately the guy was ok The bike slid, and then when it hit the curb, it just gripped and launched.

Doing my second ever trackday tomorrow at Castle Combe (novice group, obviously)
Anyone from here going?
Good luck & have fun! Anyone from here going?
I've just moved to the South West so it's now officially my local track but the dates don't work for me so next year it is.
Watched a mate do a track day there last year and the organisation was fairly laid back which combined with 10 min sessions made it look a bit hard work. I've been told they've lengthened the sessions this year.
Just done Snetterton as signed up to race here next week. Didnthe day and then evening sessions. The evening sessions were a joke at least two reds in every session for both groups apart from the very last one.
Mixing Inters and Advanced is also a seriously bad idea. The riding was unbelievably bad.

In the garage tonight thought best I get this track bike finished to test in September before its shipped to Spain
First time I can say I've got a long one but I'm gonna deal with the flack so that I stop needing a baffle. Hope it doesn't need mapping again
Had a plate welded over the outside of the engine case but ran it up and still had a tiny weep... So out come the chemical weld and I was like a we with it putting on loads
I'll finish building it up tonight, run it up after Silverstone moto gp and get the oily rear slick changed
