For anyone that didn't try it, £14.99 for TT+ for the full 2 weeks was worth every penny in my opinion. They did a fantastic job providing live coverage of all qualifying, races, rider insights, etc., etc.

I thought they'd struggle to cover such a long course, over nearly 2 hours of racing in some cases, but they did it.

Because they choose not to .
I wonder if their contracts prevent them from doing so - Or the purse for winning/taking part is below their expectations.
I suspect both. Rossi went there a few years ago as a spectator and said he wouldn’t do it for any money.
Conversely have any TT winners moved to MOTO GP/other bike competitions and in those competitions been at the sharpe end of the racing pack/highly competitive or are road racers skills quite different to track racers?
Probably brookes and hickman have done well in bsb and tt.

I think the required skillsets between IoM racers (and other street races) and circuit racers competing at their respective pinnacles is very slightly different. Long circuits, three, four, six laps, no other riders (for the most part at the IoM TT) versus multiple laps of shorter circuits surrounded by other riders.
I have to say that I always do better at road races than short circuit stuff. No idea why I just do. There is something about the whole thing of being on a public road that hits the spot more than being on a circuit. The IOM TT is the only road race however where you set off at timed intervals, all the rest are mass start, which is fun, especially at somewhere like Armoy and Scarborough.

So drifting a bike with a solid stone wall feet away….

Out of interest any idea of the possible speed he was doing at that point?

I’d guess between 150-180 (maybe a lot more?!)

Looking at the layout, I would say that's on the high side.

That's Crosby bend, best side of 180,they are flat out for probably half a mile prior to it.

This is where David Jefferies was killed after hitting oil

My God … I’d not even want to think about that in a sports car let alone a bike with two tiny contact patches with the tarmac.

Is there any specific reason why Hybusas do not race in the TT?

I'd say he could be spot on. Isn't it Crosby? Crosby is effing fast!

They are old, heavy and far, far from agile.

Wouldn't match any of the regulations - too big capacity motor.

They're also heavy and nothing like as agile as needed so wouldn't be competitive.

If there doing 150 to 180 there that's borderline insanity 😳

Given he was in a situation the rear hanging out I’m guessing the only option then is Wide open throttle / pin it to get back in control whereas easing off the throttle would cause a possible high side and simply holding /trailing throttle would be risky too.
Basically too hot going in / utterly committed
