As I said previously, I had my first 'high speed' off on Monday at Snetterton.
The fact you're ok is a good thing. Sucks about the bike though.
I didn't have my GoPro on my bike, but this fellow did. And this is exactly the same as what happened to me. Same day. Same session(not sure if same group)

He made no attempt to tip it in once he had scrubbed all that speed off. That could have been savedThe fact you're ok is a good thing. Sucks about the bike though.

Unless he is an absolute genius at wet weather riding, I can't see it happening.
The track looks damp, and the guy going into the corner is going so slow, that's not a great reference for speed.
I guess if he'd tried the corner and failed, he'd have least have scrubbed more speed off and just low-sided himself.
Unless the sudden jerk that caused the camera to jolt was some form of mechanical issue ?
Other than that, I can't see what's gone wrong there other target fixation and going stiff as a board in panic
Day 2 out of 3 at Estoril. The weather has been brilliant with 26-28 deg sunshine. The circuit is fun with plenty of opportunities to high side, as McKeann friend will testify. 1 buckled wheel and a cracked frame complete with a very sore ankle.
Day 1 got of to a bad start with a smash in the first session of the novice group. A very unusual crash as a result of an over eager Ducrappy ride and confusion over how this circuit use their red lights. He ran into another rider at approx 120 mph. Unbelievably neither rider sustained any broken bones. The Ducati smashed into the Armco and revved full belt for at least 30 seconds on its side. One careful owner, never been tracked........

Doesn't look too bad in that photo - in reality it's not going to be playing the piano for a bit. Fairing went in the bin (left hand side wasn't rebuildable) and it was a bit breezy as a StreetFighter which seemed to make it run lean at big speed so it was retired mid afternoon (last day though so all good).
Moral of the story - don't buy it good tyres or listen to Mckean about lines, both are inappropriate for the generator cover on left handers.
Even with that it was a great trip and I fancied a Winter project anyway.
