Finally ran the 1290r in today, windy but dry, ready for its 1st service next Saturday, happy days. Ktm still has a massive software update problem that's not available for this bike due to blue tooth licencing issues, shame as I've been looking forward to trying out the sat nav function which is unavailable.
That needs a tail tidy mak lad.No, not me. A bit of tree had blown onto the road on a left hand bend so the car drove around it onto the wrong side of the road just as the KTM rider also entered his left hand bend. He hit the brakes and slid off while the car swerved left and off the road.
The rider has a broken wrist, a mate helped the elderly couple out of the car, they were fine but badly shaken.

Bloody hell, lucky-ish escape by all then...The rider has a broken wrist, a mate helped the elderly couple out of the car, they were fine but badly shaken.

Halfwit.Found these pics today and I’d been meaning to post them up here for a while, see if anyone could tell me what the bikes were...
Top-middle and bottom-left is my grandad and although I never got to meet him, I’d like to think he’d wholeheartedly approve of some of our last-minute, half-planned bike trips...

Its a Biggy though, it controls the hands free calling and music streaming options which I'm not to fussed about but a lot of people are, the main one for me is no satnav
I think any company that has a licencing issue with regards blue tooth on a product they have produced is in serious poo land but hopefully its just a blip
The bikes cracking by the way

They did no more than most would have done, drove around a big branch in the middle of the road , maybe just one of those unavoidable freak timing disasters although i could be wrong on all counts. Best left without comment unless you were there.
Well perhaps it was a branch that they could have stopped short of, put their hazards on, got out and moved it.Going on to the opposite carriageway around a bend is a half witted thing to do.
I can quite happily say that whether I was there or otherwise.

Top left is a BSA side-valve single, probably a 600cc M21.Top-middle and bottom-left is my grandad and although I never got to meet him, I’d like to think he’d wholeheartedly approve of some of our last-minute, half-planned bike trips...
Top right & bottom right is an Ariel 350 or 500 OHV single.
Can't see enough of the third bike. AJS, perhaps?
