Gave the bike a good clean after a recent yearly aprilia track day. Might be getting on with its style now but still really like these bikes
Gutted I missed it this year, although I saw it rained afternoon, I moved last week so I’ve got a proper decent sized garage I’ve got to rack out and do the floor etc, is it sad I’m just as excited by that as I am a trackday?, bike is still looking smart btw, love the carbon frame coversLast furlough/redundant ride out of 2020 .. a few of us have managed to secure work so yesterday we went to caffeine and machine in Warwickshire to celebrate the last week of freedom!
They have the whole social distance thing well sorted here, plenty of room here (as long as the weather holds..), tables well apart and all food/drink ordering done online.
Loved this Astra, not sure what engine was in it but it had a bloody great turbo installed!
As it stood of yesterday, Mon - Thurs, after 12pm, no need to pre-book a slot time to visit, Fri-Sun, you have to book a slot via their webiste.

Yeah I understand what you're saying, I have a map of Essex on mine. Picked up the Ducati this evening, had a full service on it by RPM bikes inc belts etc and replaced the 20 year old tyres...Didnt go far on it but hope to get out for a longer ride on Sunday..
Firstly, its err...tight on the neck and wrists but I honestly loved it, the front wheels feels like its inbetween your hands, never ridden a bike before that you are so far over the front of it, the engine felt more refined than I thought it would but nothing else did!
Brakes are really very good for the era as well...
Just as I parked it up in the garage, would you believe the baffles fell out , officer...

That Astra engine is going to bug me now.
Z20LET wasn't it?Anything newer than early 00's (ish) will be Z.
Not a massive Vauxhall fan but I've seen those engine conversions often enough to know the engine designation.
Picked this up earlier - first bike I’ve had new in 10 years, and thank god it’s utterly brilliant (I had only ridden the base model for 30 minutes.)
Initial impressions are hilarious wheelies off every crest and a front end that feels incredibly nailed-on for an upright bike. I also love that you can’t really see any of the bike when you’re riding it, so it’s a very pure sort of experience, it that makes sense. Can’t wait to get out on it properly with a mate tomorrow...

Congrats on the new purchase, they do like a great crack, also get exactly what you mean regards not seeing any part of the bike when riding it , kinda feels like your floating along?!Initial impressions are hilarious wheelies off every crest and a front end that feels incredibly nailed-on for an upright bike. Went to see a friend in Cheshire today, we did a run from his to the peaks and back to his in a loop vix Buxton and Macclesfield, he was in the Lotus , was dry for half of the trip but utterley bucketed it down just past the Cat and Fiddle...He got wetter than I did..
Water pump niggles aside, I do love riding the BMW, feels incredibly safe and secure in the wet, sniff of heated grips and cruise on the way up the motorway but still makes you ride like a hooligan and take the long way home at the end of a long 315 mile day...and cheap for what it is.
Props as they say to my new Frank Thomas jacket, kept me drier than anything ive had from Furygan and Alpinestars...
