Got out for a cracking 170+ mile ride Saturday. Decided against Mx Sunday as I'm at almeria in a few days and knowing my luck I'd twang something

Also just come down with man flu and pulled my back. Hate getting old - sucks balls big time

Burnham cafe onto walkers then Finch with 90% dry grippy roads was lovely though

My S22s are well past their best with the front all pointy and rear squared. Makes real nervy leaning in as it feels like the front is losing grip (for me)

If you know the cafe this is from you know the wonky stairs to get there too

What way do you go from Walkers to Finchingfield? I rode there for the first time this week from Bury - Haverhill then headed to the TTT motorcycle village for a fry up.

Thought I recognised that. I’ve got a GPX somewhere of a decent 90-ish mile enduro ride starting and ending there. Did it a couple of years ago.

My son invited me to the skatepark, as he wanted to demo his latest moves. Took the old SRAD.

That SRAD is awesome. Fond memories on a cheesegrater paint scheme one back in the day.

Well done, you must be proud.

Can't quite see what the rosette says, but hope to see it later today so can look closer then. smile
Click on the original pic in tvrolet's post, click on it again in thumbsnap, and you can see, and expand, the high-res pic.

Congratulations, tvrolet.
I know that's meant well, and I appreciate it, but 52yo eyes were still a little uncertain. In any case, I took the opportunity to use two eyes rather than downloading the image and zooming in further.

I'm not sure what got Best in Show, but personally I spent quite a lot of time ogling the 50cc and 3&1/2 Moto Morini and the TR3OC stand; much T160 love, again. smile

Its done! And rides so so sweetly.

New rear sets are great - the gearshift feels like a rifle bolt - precise and great feedback.

Bleeding the rear brake took some effort. A lot of effort, but its now the best its ever been. cloud9
REALLY really debating selling a couple of my bikes on to buy an RC8 - absolutely love the look of them, never ridden one though - are they much like an Aprilia RSV Mille?

Not many modern bikes give me that wow factor but that RC8 does.

It's actually too hot here to go out, 35c and humid. Not very enjoyable. Fine in T shirt and shorts not fine in leather and helmet!

Cheers! It’s a fun bike, very easy to ride, quite torquey in low(ish) rpm and then feels quick (though it isn’t) at the top of the rev range. I‘ve done a lot of track training on it in the past year and it feels very natural to ride it around corners.
It also passed the 25k km mark yesterday!

None I'm afraid; it was identical to this one, except with more "patina". The picture doesn't express it's scale though, the seat was around about my knee caps. Looked a proper hoot. smile

A Corsarino!

Here’s mine:

Rare little machines in the U.K. I think mine started off as an off-roader too smile

Um - sort of. I have a mate with a Mille and the RC8 is miles more reliable - at least vs his. I've had no issues, but he's had sprag clutch problems, some random oil leak that will involve stripping it down pretty heavily etc.

I dunno, you have to try them out I guess. Its a bit more raw than the modern stuff, no ABS or TC etc, but its a surprisingly nice bike to ride even on sub-par B roads (within reason of course). There are a lot of parts available, and I've managed to have 2 offs on track days and repair it back to its former glory for fairly reasonable sums.

Its just one of those bikes I wanted since I first saw a picture of it. I could sit back and stare at it for hours.

Thank you bow

First 'award' I've ever had - made my day. I also had the Hurricane and Corgi on display (and had the Hurricane in the start-up arena too where on Sunday we had it and the Slippery Sam replica doing circles) and I'm in the TR3OC so spent time mooching around that stand too. The Triumph Trackmaster (flat track chassis with a Trident motor) was an absolutely magnificent piece of work - I couldn't believe it didn't get a commendation, let alone bike of the show. Non-standard colour on the Rocket 3 but it really lifted it and looked magnificent too...and of course the aforementioned Slippery Sam replica.

I did venture into the main hall and it certainly seemed much better than previous years, but I enjoyed the stuff in the Classics hall much more. Some really glorious bikes in there - far too many to single any out but I'll mention the Rudge Ulster, TZ750, MV Agusta America and loads of stuff on the Vintage Japanese stand - all pristine. 'till next year then smile

Yep, Corsarino ZZ I think the sign said. Nice picture: about 7 bricks high, or about the same height as a front wheel smile
