I went to Croft, I met Gareth and Mckean.

My bike wouldn't start, thankfully the mechanic diagnosed it as a failing quick shifter.

It was a dry first day, It was nice, very bumpy but I thought my bike was broken, I poodled around trying to get used to riding in the dry. I missed as many apexes as I could due to stting it over the bumps or gypsies tarmac repairs.

Boy I met there came off, broke his back in three places and pelvis in two.

I walked the track, fk me I wish I never, the surface is shocking.

It rained, I was happy very happy, then it dried, rained, spat, sun, rain, dry, spat, rain, dry. I got fked off, went home.

A few from last week at the Michelin day at Knockhill.

It was raining....I had to hide the fact I was using metzler wets all day under my warmers....

It was really good though, Terry Rymer took me out for a session, I took lots from just a 20 minute session with him. Most instructors I've had in the past are just like "yeah good, work on lines, going good". He was great, told me my entry speed was too quick, too long on the side of the tyre, too much time spent leant over, loads that makes me consider actually having a 1-2-1 day with tuition.

I did actually get out with the drys on, it was dry for one lap before it pissed it down and had to come in again.

I also raised the forks up 2 mm on the daytona after never quite getting the suspension feel I was promised with the upgrade.

fk me, I went out on the sighting laps and shat it when my knee kissed the ground in the wet without any effort. It just falls in, big problem I now have is before I was riding to compensate from this "understeer" handling, Id struggle to hit many apexs physically had to fight it before. Now I'm riding over the buggers with the front wheel which caused this wee moment.

Got my first full wet day tomorrow. I have a question about tyre warmers... Use them or not with wets? I've read that unless you are pretty quick in the wet (clearly I won't be as I've not done a wet day before) it's best not to use them. Reason being, you go out with them nice and hot but unless you can maintain the heat with good pace, they will drop off and become progressively less grippy. Better to go out cold and gradually work the heat into them? Any advice welcome!
knockhill?

In too quick, bit of unrest under braking, followed by target fixation. I did the same into tower, we all will or have at some point in time.

He could have made that or at least attempted to.

I could actually feel his arms, arse and head lock up watching that.

We all make mistakes, its learning from them thats key, there is no real shame in crashing tbh we all need to learn. I have done the above, If you have the same crash shortly after then it becomes an issue as your really not learning.

I've been in similar situations since, as you say, your advice is spot on and its got me out a few moments that would have resulted in a crash. I can hear the voice in my head shouting, look round the corner, look you tit, ALEX fkING LOOK, ah made that, piece of pish, woo.

Once this becomes second nature then you can move on to a whole different type of crash I guess, then learn from that.

Haha, much better than your approach with women at Trackdays. Sit in your chair eating Jaffa cakes and grunt at my missus when I introduced you. She walked away asking what was wrong with you biggrin
Asda's own brand jaffas will do that to you....

Would like to apologise to those at Donny in Inters yesterday as it was me and the 'MX Ninja' on Redgate running out of track (and talent) for a split second and taking a mud bath instead spin

I'd agree with that. I think Neil has special Scottish laws of Physics smile
Honestly, he actually looks fking uncomfortable on the bike, you look at him and think that is a new to inters group rider right there, then he's fking gone. Naturally having the only 600 on here I have many, many justifiable excuses as to why I can't keep up, the standard fuel cap, running Michelin and the fact my bike is 11 years old and 70bhp down on power obviously means I'd tan his arse when I get a litre bike like all you's guys....dunno wtf all your excuses are.
