Not posted for a bit so thought I'd get an update and involved in what everyones doing
Gave it a much needed clean as weather seems to make everything filthy (although its improving) and bung a set of tyres on (RS11 front S22 Rear) just because I had them laying about. Feels great having fresh tyres
Went to one of my fav cake places end of Burnham on crouch called Ground Coffee House
Did a fair bit of riding over the bank holiday weekend and loving the grip the tyres are giving (Private road)
Went to go a biker cafe that was closed but knew of another close not tried before - so glad we did. Not cheap but incredible food! Called The Lakehouse Cafe in stowmarket. Parking is stones. Not putting food pics on here but its good!
Frustratingly it rained hard as we continued to ride so went TTT
I found the most incredible sunglasses in there so got a pic. I found it funny anyways
Did a bimble to southend shakedown with a few mates mainly for the cake. Heavily policed and killed it a bit tbh as they congregated the bikers in one area that then meant a lot of walking to go into the main part. A lot dont like leaving their bike. Echo paper was writing a story as usual tried interviewing me but I politely declined
Then mid week did a run to Gr. Bentley and had the lovely stone baked pizza. Definitely warmer in the evenings now showing 11-12 degrees at 9pm

Nice one Pete! I don't how I've gone so long without a monkey bike in my garage, it would probably be the only bike that I could get both feet flat on the floor!.
Do it Andy! Whether on your land or popping to shops or pub - lovely and less serious than the Grom!Got out for a good loop on the old transalp with my brother on his T7 on Friday.
I've decided to turn the Honda into a bit more of a rally style bike so a set of Mitas E10s have gone on since this photo, rear linkage flipped which raises the rear by 70mm, fork extenders to bring the front up the same along with heavier fork oil and now I need to get the side stand extended. Rally fairing up next.
I'm only 32 but I feel like I'm becoming an old man as I quite see the appeal of taking this old shed out more often rather than my Tuono 1100 factory or ZX7R....

New R1300GS delivered Wednesday but weather was dismal until Saturday morning. I never set out to cover a big distance for the maiden journey but managed 250 miles from Northants to Benson on the Thames, then on to Caffeine & Machine and home.
Overall the 1300 is as I have come to expect an evolution over the outgoing 1250. Lots of areas are significantly better and a few only marginally better. A few tweaks needed as the gear lever is set too low so the strain gauge on the QS interrupts the fuel and ignition if you so much as brush the lever. I kissed the screen a few times yesterday. It is without doubt a GS as within a mile or two it felt like it was already my bike if that makes sense. The all black theme matches my car now too.
I too have a triple black currently with a Kriega soft pack on the back and from the sounds of it we'll be using them for some time - luggage will be recalled in May and until then none supplied. Paid I don't know how much for the Vario luggage and I have panniers that don't really work and no top box!!! Bike is great though!Overall the 1300 is as I have come to expect an evolution over the outgoing 1250. Lots of areas are significantly better and a few only marginally better. Those cakes do look good.
Checks on the new Norton are ongoing. Few odds and ends but nothing much.
One thing is it only has a centre stand and it’s a proper lump, so I bought an RGM side stand which I suspect will take a bit of finessing to get the angle right and clearance to the exhausts, but will make life a lot easier hopefully!

Love the orange speed triple! I nearly bought one over the speed twin, but I think I made the right choice given the type of riding I do.
On our group chat he's just posted about getting his state pension being of 'that age'. I've known him 20+ years nowQuickest old fart I know. Took until this bike to get him onto electronics and now he loves it. Still rides his SP1 for summer special occasions

Absolutely lovely and good to see it's not another cafe racer…..yet One thing is it only has a centre stand and it’s a proper lump, so I bought an RGM side stand which I suspect will take a bit of finessing to get the angle right and clearance to the exhausts, but will make life a lot easier hopefully!
