Anybody else booked up for Phillip Island 2019 with No Limits?
I have![](/inc/images/censored.gif)
However, I'd be away for the wife's birthday, so it'd cost me half a house

Would've been temped if they'd put another track over there into the trip as 24hours on a plane is a bloody long way to go for 3 days on track and not have a bike for 4 months

FFS it’s sold out already. How many of those will be selling it on in a few months time?
Phillip Island Ride Days do bike & kit hire. Just incorporate it into a holiday. A mate (Mike with the Ducati) did it a few years back and loads of Brits were doing it.Shipping your own bike half way round the world seems a bit extreme somehow!

Hiring bikes is the way forward if you're thinking beyond Europe. However, I'd be away for the wife's birthday, so it'd cost me half a house

As an example you could do Laguna Seca

and then do Highway One on a Harley or some comedy V8 thing.

I was going to book last night then decided to sleep on it and saw that this afternoon. Given the demand, I'd imagine they will go again. In relation to the above poster who chucked up Laguna Seca, what's the deal with track bike rental? Couldn't find anything on their site.

Quite a lot I suspect by the time the man maths turn into reality. December and January are the most expensive times to fly, no doubt there will be a premium on repatriation insurance, and then how many are going to be able to get away with this without taking wifey?Fleegle said:

On a kind of related note what tracks are recommended around the Costa Blanca region of Spain?
I’m going sailing there for a couple of weeks in early October and wouldn’t mind getting a trackday in the sun in whilst I’m there, as long as there’s somewhere that will hire bikes?
Costa Blanca you have Valencia, Albacete, Cartegena or further down there is Almeria, I've not ridden any of them but been to each plenty of times.I’m going sailing there for a couple of weeks in early October and wouldn’t mind getting a trackday in the sun in whilst I’m there, as long as there’s somewhere that will hire bikes?

I asked the GF if she wanted to go and she didn't fancy it, so I'm going myself. curlie467 said:

It would be an amazing trip though

It's about 3K just for business class flights. Add 1.5K for the trip, 0.5K for food and drink, 1K for tyres, fuel and pads. Call it 6K.
Effectively £15 a mile, £42 a lap, £1260 per hour of circuit time.It is a nice circuit though. Done it in a Holden, over the crest into turn 1 is good.
