My passport has elapsed otherwise I would. I will do at least one in the coming winter.
After doing oulton I'm itching to get out and do more. normally I'd just book Knockhill, its 15 miles away after all. But it's just a bit boring Doing the same 7 corner track over and over. plus I feel cheated paying 170 quid for a circuit like that.
I left oulton buzzing with a stupid grin on my face and anyone who knows me knows I never smile. Doing the same track isn't really exciting
Just reading back through this thread from the start and saw this. 2.5 Years ago, Alex claimed he was about to do a Euro trip as he hated doing the same tracks over and over again. Since then, no Euro trips, and has done about 3000 Knockhills and moaned about every one. After doing oulton I'm itching to get out and do more. normally I'd just book Knockhill, its 15 miles away after all. Come on Alex, get a Euro trip booked for next year.

I dropped the water out of the coolant on the track bike before it frozen and found it's rusty.
Previously ran antifreeze but due to race regs had to change to water. How can I stop this happening? I cant use anything other than water as I understand. I just used tap water tbf.
It probably looks worse than it is. A little bit of rust can go along way. Like when you find blood in your stool and wonder how your not dead. Maybe. Hopefully.
It's drained now I've put coolant back in.
It's only been in there 3 months but clearly too long.
Ill use water at race meets then just fling coolant back in.
I did a flush and tbf the water wasn't rusty coming out. Obviously it's rusted something. But It wasn't like a sludge. I kinda thought it'd be OK leaving it for the season then just replacing at winter.

I'll find out when I run and flush the cooling out I guess. There was corrosion on the radiator cap I'm wondering if this is enough to cause it.
A tiny bit of rust goes a long way. It certainly wasn't very viscous which would indicate a small amount of rust or lack of oil contamination

The original coolant that had been in there for a decade came out with no rust.
Ill run and flush the coolant I put in.
Change after each race meeting.
I didn't use di water as a few boys from work (Scottish water mechs) said it can re absorb oxygen and is more corrosive than water from tap as this already has dissolved impurities.

I love Croft. Hate Knockhill.
I love knockhill. The staff are brilliant beyond friendly and helpful. I love the circuit. They are continually trying to improve the facilities and track.

They are selling by the bucket load on trackday facebook pages. Having seen a bashed up Triumph after a chinky lever crash I don't think I'd have the balls.

I'm very impressed with the quality which is on par with anything I've had previously and from investigations Adelin are ISO quality approved and now a few UK companies are starting to stock them so I suspect it will be a matter of time before prices go north on them.
Mine will stay sat in the boxes for now. If anyone wants pictures let me know.
I don't know the Chinese auditing equivalent of UKAS so I can't search to see if they have ISO 9000/9001. I've searched on google about the company and nothing. I know I'm not Bergerac but I smell a lie.
As Graeme says they might feel ok and such but they could be as strong as an Oxo cube, the only way to find out is to try them. I've read the posts on facebook of guys buying them. I've seen one road racer post to say he's used it. He's had positive results but as with Chinese knock off gear 9/10 might work the 10th wont. It's a £30 or £40 m/c. They would have stolen the design, churned it out with cheap labour, electricity costs, materials and shipping so thats obviously reflected in the price but your a braver man than me for buying it.
The rest who have just bought them seem to be shouting very loudly on the forum, belittling people for questioning their purchase. I can see this getting interesting when the track season in the UK starts again.
