It is great fun off the lights except the TC just goes crazy even when turned down to 1, and that was with the daughter on the back and it still looses traction!
I normally like to make my own mind up about things, but I think on this occasion I'm just going to go ahead and bin these OEM Dunlop tyres. biglaugh
I will have them, don't bin them. I have been scooping them up on ebay and fitting them for bargain commuting tyre. 9k per rear is lovely.

I have a decent set of TKC's in the garage that i put on if i need to. I don't need cutting edge tyres in the wet for motorway commuting. That said, the tyres are fine in the dry, just need to take it easy in the wet. For me it is perfect, getting near new

I've done a set, on my second set now. 11k miles in or something now.

I was never expecting the buzz of a sports bike.

I like it, does what I wanted from it! Economy could be better and cruise control would be lovely..but on the most part I got what I expected!

I ended up adding a centre stand, oxford grips, 12v socket, pelican case, exhaust and a taller screen. Will run it until 80k miles again I think. It is at this point generally I need to decide if the bike is doing the full term with me or not because from now in the value falls off.

Not meant as a dig, but I find people get most unhappy with bikes when they don't use them in the manner they were intended for personally.
Agreed.

It is a big heavy, reliable, comfortable mile muncher.

Not a back road blasting sportsbike. I have used mine as intended and love it.

New wheels for mine. Current rims pitted badly and spokes corroding nicely. Shame about the 13 week wait for replacements. Ballbags.
I need new ones. Did they ask you which colour? I want gold replacements

i am gobsmacked at how bad the wheels can get. Mine has done 1300 miles, cleaned after its been out in the rain and the spokes are still corroded. I will get the wheels changed but i would not be surprised if the new set also corroded.

This must be costing Honda a fortune.
I read somewhere the wheels are made by DID, so i would think it is costing them a fortune.

My wheels are hilarious. 13,000 miles on them and only a few months old and you cannot see them through the corrosion.

Any pictures of these rusty wheels? Really surprised to hear about that from a honda!
I would not be surprised biggrin

Honda metals and build quality is not what it used to be. That said, DID make the wheels in this instance,

Has anyone changed the rear box for something a little more tuneful?
I've been looking at the Delkevic mufflers wondered if anyone else had bothered?
I've recently fitted a Remus end can. To be honest my main motive was to get rid of the huge dustbin standard exhaust and replace it with the much tidier matt black Remus, which looks much better on my matt black AT. I didn't want too much a noise increase, so i've left the DB Killer/baffle in situ. At idle it sounds barely any different and further up in the rev range it's now a bit fruitier.

John Banks were doing a good price on these, I can't remember what I paid, circa £300 I think...

£185 for the carbon version of the Delkevic so went for it.
The reviews all look pretty good, the plan is to keep the baffled in, but I do have very understing neighbours wink
You will want to keep the baffle in. It is ungodly loud without it. Sounds nice with it in.

ETA: The Delkevic pipe is great quality and the service is second to none. Really happy with it.

Anyone tempted to upgrade to the Adventure Sport model?
I would like the bigger tank, but the rest of it is fine for me. I am really enjoying the bike to be honest. 18,000 mile service in the next week or so. Matt black and having no issues with paint work, apart from the scratches i have put on it.

Few corroded nuts and bolts and the spokes are not looking great, but going to get them to replace all of that under warranty.

Think i might resent paying the £6k bubble at the end for a bike with astronomical mileage on, but that is the nature of the game i guess.

Mine's pretty sh*tted-up. Nuts, bolts, chain, spokes, rims are all rotting like an old turd. I've done 1,100 miles. Both the AT and Fireblade were used at the same times over winter, both coated with ACF50, both cleaned and maintained at the same time. Fireblade is immaculate but the AT is just f*cking sh*t. Really disappointed.
Think when i take it in for its 18k service it is fair to request them to replace all corroded st with new parts?

I have toured on the bike over alpine passes for about 5k miles, used it to commute to work for the remaining 13k and it has been ACF'd multiple times. I really like the bike but I wan the corrosion sorted!

I'm certainly going to ask when it goes in for its new rims and spokes. If I get a TADTS response, I think I'm just going to clean it up as best I can and sell it. If its done this in 1,100 miles, what's it going to be like at 20k?
I will tell you in two weeks haha

Will put some pics up when its goes in for its 18k service.

That's the biggie isn't it?
I will let you know. Having it done at a main dealer as well so could be pricey. But I would like everything replaced under warranty while it is there.

If you go for the valve check, yes. I won't be doing that. Runs perfectly, fuel consumption fine. I'll take my chances!
Are you sure you will be able to hand the bike back without having it properly serviced?

I keep them serviced to the book for the first year or so just in case i need to make a warranty claim. After 40k i figure if something was going to go wrong, it would of smile

Still loving mine (2017/67 DCT), it has about 24/25k miles on it I think. Mileage has varied this year so I am not pushing the 30/40k miles I thought I would be on at this time of the year.

It is up there with one of the best bikes I have owned. Hoping to do a round the world on it in the next few years if everything aligns work wise.
