What bike is most tempting you?

Do you mean one of these without the fairing? If so. Super easy things to ride with good comfort and handling but a little lacking in performance.
or do you mean one of these without the fairing? If so, as above but with more go and a super sweet screamer of an engine that sounds great, even on standard pipes. They need to revved to get any decent progress but it really is no hardship. They really sing along in a most satisfying manner.
This is one of the bikes I sometimes regret getting rid of.

Thats the puppy! For those of you that dont my history im coming from a 125 after having a horrible time with my first 'big'bike a xsr700, so im hoping this is somewhere in the middle
The Divvie 600 is an excellent "big bike" choice after stepping off a 125. They are totally non intimidating to just hop on and ride,. I found that Bridgstone Battleax BT45s worked best when it came to tyre choice. The pipe you see on mine is a Delkevic item. They sound great and won't break the bank.As with any bike you buy, it is well worth joining the owners forums.

I'm dithering at the moment. I have a Triumph Scrambler 1200 which is lovely but burns my leg in traffic with its exhaust, left me aching after 5 miles of green lanes and can't take any meaningful luggage. Commuter scooter is an Xmax300 which is great in town but slightly lacking with a growing son on the back as he will in the mornings come September and dual carriageways on windy days.
What I want is a KTM 790 Adventure R and a Yamaha Tmax but the budget isn't going to stretch to both of those and I reckon a pure commuter like NC750x and a pure enduro like a second-hand KTM 350EXC is probably the way to go. Then I saw YouTube videos of the 1290 Adventure R and thought maybe I can do everything with one bike...need to do some test rides I think.
The 1290 R looks an absolute beast.

How much does a 1290R weigh? My 250 EXC-F weighs about 100-110kg and it’s still extremely tiring to green lane on.
All my friends who green land ride KTM / Yamaha 250 / 350 / 450, but we have lanes within 5 mins of where we live.
My dirty secret at the moment is that I'd actually rather like an Indian Scout for a while. Not normally the type of bike I would want at all but occasionally see a Blue one around my way and think it looks great. In real life it's probably rubbish and I'd have to buy leather chaps or something.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/9.gif

As my FZS 1000 has now sold I keep looking at the VFR 1200 as an upgrade to my pre-vtec VFR.
Really don't, I have a FZS 1000, but use a VFR1200 in work. It is undoubtedly the worst bike i've ever ridden. Uncomfortable, crap tank range, rubbish engine, terrible at low speed. I hate it with a passion!!Kawasicki said:
My old 999 is fine*, ugly** but fine.
I will join you in said minority, imo one of the best looking bikes of all time. - I actually like it, but I understand I’m in the minority.
Currently trying to justify a 660 Tuono thanks to BB, but I think I will have to resist the urge for a while.
