Small upgrade on mine today , I couldn’t stomach the best part of £1k on cruise control so I’ll see how I get on with a throttle stop.
I rode a hire bike that had a similar one of those type of devices fitted many years ago in Cyprus.

Damn thing nearly killed me on the ride up to the top of Troudos mountains was all I remember about it!

Nice bike.

Got to be one of the best factory colour schemes for sale at the moment.
Thanks, it is the colour scheme that first drew me to it, and have to say I absolutely love it!

Didn't realise you were a motorcyclist too Nigel, looks nice if a little tall for short arses like me biggrin
I’ve been riding motorcycles for over 40 years, it’s just that most of them have been off road bikes, so don’t really post much about them.

Met up with some of the guys on the Africa Twin forum, and had a ride out around Broadway and Stow on the wold on Easter Sunday.

Lovely and sunny, but very cold.

Got to do some decent green lanes too.

Nope bud!

We had a week of snow at home, but the standard supplied At tyres are not snow focused!

So I've been out in the cold, but not the snow so far.

Any frame issues with your bike yet? Sold my ATAS when the PCP came to an end as I was having to rub down the frame and hammerite it to stop rust coming through etc, underneath of the tank was going rusty too - shame as it was a good bike!

Watching with interest re the build quality which I’m led to believe is not up to the usual Honda standards on these.

I really fancy one but not if it’s going to disintegrate when used as it’s supposed to be designed for.

There is on my 2018 ATAS, long list of quality issues:

1) the gold anodising has bad corrosion on both wheels,
2) frame rust worse than a 1980s british leyland complete with flaking off paint
3) moisture in clocks (comes and goes)
4) bad corrosion on most fasteners
5) corrosion on engine cases
6) seat seam looks like it is about to split
7) rust on standard front crash bars brackets (honda call them light bars).
8) poor quality frame welds complete with weld spatter and rust bleeding through

still love it though

It won't disintegrate, might look a bit scabby on the metal work though - and on the plus side as it doesn't look mint i don't have any inclination to pamper it.

Not so far, I did treat all areas that were potential rust areas with acf 50.

Ive not had it a year yet, but we have been out in all weathers, so let's see.

Forgot about the clocks - had mine swapped twice as water got in when I washed it, even though I covered it with a carrier bag & didnt spray water anywhere near it, the plastic also scratched really easily too

Same issue with the wheels & light bars

Had my seat replaced under warranty as it split along the seam

Apart from that it was a good bike but no amount of ACF-50 was gonna stop it rusting/coroding - shame really
