Side stands, why people don't have them for track days is a mystery to me, I hat parking next to people who don't have then because they usually want help putting it on a stand or they fk up and nearly hit my bike.
Fit a side stand.
Clearance? Since putting rearsets on my Fireblade it's a bit tight getting my foot under the gear lever, as it's that bit closer to the side stand.Fit a side stand.
Good road trip on the CBR 300R, from Hua Hin to Kanchanaburi in Northen Thailand. Used back roads all the way, some wonderful 'twisties' through the hills at Ratchaburi.
Stopped over for the night in Kanchanaburi, visited the War Graves of the men who died building the railway for the Japs, and went to the museum. Thought provoking stuff.....how they were treated!
Left the next day and rode up into the mountains near Three Pagodas Pass, then back to Hua Hin via Khaen Krachan.
Did 670 ks on this great little bike. I cannot speak enough of how good this bike is, for a starter, or someone like me who is getting back into biking. Fantastic package, but 160 kph flat out, revving at 10,000 !
Off to see a new CBR 500R on friday, so this little gem will be up for sale.......but I have really had my moneys worth for the year I have owned it.
Looked at a Ducati Panigale 899, but at 750,000 bht ( about £16 k ) bit too much of a jump up, and I doubt I would do it justice.
So the CBR 500 seems to be the best next move?

Finally finished replacing chain / sprockets, rebuilt the hub and rear caliper on my nc30.
It's been on the abba stand for 5 weeks looking unfinished. Garage time is limited with work and a small one.
Managed a quick shake down tonight, first time in 5 months!

+1Had one as my first bike many moons ago. Would have another in a heartbeat if I wasn't too tall for it. Had to sell mine after after a few months as I was in agony after a decent ride. Great little bike though!
Edited to add a at Castex. Very good.
